Hezekiah Proclaims a Passover

And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.

Царь Езекия отправил послания ко всему народу Израиля и Иудеи. Он написал письма народу Ефрема и Манассии, чтобы они пришли в Иерусалим к храму Господа отпраздновать Пасху Господу, Богу Израиля.

For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.

Царь Езекия согласился со всеми своими приближёнными и со всем своим собранием в Иерусалиме отпраздновать Пасху во втором месяце,

For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

ибо они не могли отпраздновать Пасху в обычное время, потому что священники ещё не подготовились к священной службе и народ ещё не собрался в Иерусалиме.

And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.

И понравилось это царю Езекии и всему собранию.

So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.

Тогда они объявили по всему Израилю, от города Вирсавии до города Дана, чтобы народ шёл в Иерусалим праздновать Пасху Господу, Богу Израиля. Многие израильтяне очень давно не праздновали Пасху, как было предписано Моисеем.

So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

Гонцы разнесли послания царя и его начальников по всему Израилю и Иудее, как приказал царь. Вот что говорилось в этих посланиях: Дети Израиля, повернитесь к Господу Богу, Которому подчинялись Авраам, Исаак и Израиль. And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.

Не будьте, как ваши отцы или ваши братья. Господь был их Богом, но они повернулись против Него. И Господь сделал так, чтобы люди возненавидели их и говорили о них злое. Вы своими собственными глазами видите, что это так.

Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

Не будьте упрямы, как ваши предки. Отдайте себя Господу. Приходите в Святое Святых, которое Господь освятил навек. Служите Господу, Богу вашему, и тогда страшный гнев Господа отвратится от вас.

For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

Если вы вернётесь и подчинитесь Господу, ваши родственники и ваши дети найдут милость у народов, которые взяли их в плен, и вернутся назад в эту землю. Господь, Бог ваш, добр и милостив. Он не отвернётся от вас, если вы обратитесь к Нему.

So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.

Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

Некоторые же люди из колен Асира, Манассии и Завулона смирились и пришли в Иерусалим.

Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.

Бог сделал так, чтобы весь народ Иудеи согласился подчиниться царю Езекии и его приближённым по слову Господа.

Hezekiah Celebrates the Passover

And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.

Много людей собрались вместе в Иерусалиме, чтобы отметить праздник опресноков во втором месяце. И собралось там множество народа.

14

And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.

Эти люди убрали алтари лжебогов в Иерусалиме и также все алтари для воскурений и бросили их в долину Кедрон.

15

Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.

Затем они закололи пасхального ягнёнка на четырнадцатый день второго месяца. Священники и левиты были пристыжены и, подготовившись к священной службе, принесли жертвы всесожжения в храме Господа.

And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.

Они заняли свои обычные места, как велит закон Моисея, Божьего человека. Левиты дали кровь священникам, и те окропили кровью алтарь.

For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD.

Там было много людей, которые не подготовились к священной службе, и им не было разрешено убивать пасхальных ягнят. Поэтому левиты отвечали за закалывание пасхальных ягнят для каждого, кто не очистился. Левиты освящали каждого ягнёнка для Господа.

For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one

Многие из народа Ефрема, Манассии, Иссахара и Завулона не подготовились правильно к празднованию Пасхи. Они отмечали Пасху не так, как говорится в законе Моисея.

That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.

Но Езекия помолился за этих людей и произнёс молитву: "Господи Боже, Ты добр. Эти люди искренно хотели поклоняться Тебе так, как нужно, но они не очистились, как велит закон. Пожалуйста, прости этих людей. Ты — Бог, Которому подчинялись наши предки. Прости, даже если кто и не очистился, как велят правила Святого-Святых".

And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

Господь услышал молитву царя Езекии и простил народ.

And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD.

Сыны Израиля отмечали праздник опресноков в Иерусалиме семь дней. Они были очень счастливы. Левиты и священники каждый день прославляли Господа, играя на музыкальных инструментах.

22

And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.

Царь Езекия ободрял всех левитов, которые поняли, как правильно проводить службу Господу. Люди ели праздничную пищу семь дней, принося приношения содружества, благодаря и прославляя Господа, Бога своих предков.

And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.

Все согласились остаться ещё на семь дней и веселились, празднуя Пасху, все эти дни.

24

For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

Езекия, царь Иудейский, дал собранию тысячу быков и семь тысяч овец, чтобы заколоть их и съесть. Вожди дали собранию тысячу быков и десять тысяч овец; и много священников подготовилось к священной службе.

25

And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.

Все, кто пришёл из Иудеи, священники и левиты, и все, кто пришёл из Израиля, и те, кто пришёл из Израиля и поселился в Иудее, — все эти люди были очень счастливы.

So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.

Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.

Священники и левиты встали и попросили Господа благословить народ, и Бог их услышал, и молитва их дошла до святого жилища Господа на небесах.
