How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?
"Как долго вы будете мучить меня и убивать своими речами?
These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.
Уже десяток раз вы меня осуждали и не стыдитесь опять нападать.
And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
Если и правда, что я сбился с пути, то ошибка моя остаётся со мной.
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
Если вы хотите возвыситься надо мной и униженье моё обратить против меня,
Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
знайте, что Бог был ко мне несправедлив и сети Свои раскинул вокруг меня.
Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.
И, хотя я кричу, что боль моя не заслужена, я не нахожу ответа, и, хотя я о помощи молю, всё равно справедливости нет.
He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.

He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.
Он бьёт меня со всех сторон, пока мне не придёт конец, как дерево с корнями вырывает, надежду отнимая у меня.
He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies.
Он пышет гневом на меня, Он причисляет меня к Своим врагам.
His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.
Он полчища Свои на меня посылает, они меня осаждают и разбивают свой лагерь вокруг моего шатра.
He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.
Он заставил братьев моих ненавидеть меня, и знакомые мои от меня отстранились.
My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.
Родные покинули меня, друзья меня забыли.
They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
И гости, и слуги мои считают меня посторонним, на меня, как на странника, смотрят.
I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated him with my mouth.
Я зову слугу своего, но он не отзывается, даже когда я молю его о помощи.
My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for the children's sake of mine own body.
Запах дыханья моего жене моей опротивел, родные братья не хотят быть возле меня.
Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they spake against me.
Даже малые дети меня отвергают и смеются, едва я появляюсь.
All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
Я вызываю отвращение у близких друзей, и те, кого люблю я, отвращения ко мне полны!
My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.
Мало жизни осталось во мне, я — кожа да кости.
Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
Пожалейте меня, друзья, пожалейте — ударила меня рука Господня.
Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
Почему и вы преследуете меня, как и Бог, неужели вам плоти моей недостаточно?
Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
Хотел бы я, чтоб на свитках записаны были мои слова,
That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
чтоб железом по свинцу были выдавлены, чтоб на камне были выбиты, чтоб навеки остались.
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Я знаю, что мой Искупитель жив и что в конце концов, появится Он на земле.
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
И даже после того, как кожа моя истлеет, всё равно во плоти своей я Бога увижу.
Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Я увижу Его своими глазами, я — и никто другой. Я страстно желаю этого дня!
But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
