  • Blessed is He who Fears the Lord

    Praise ye the LORD. א

    Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, ב

    that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
  • Psalm 112a

    Praise the Lord.b
    Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
    who find great delight in his commands.
  • ג

    His seed shall be mighty upon earth: ד

    the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
  • Their children will be mighty in the land;
    the generation of the upright will be blessed.
  • ה

    Wealth and riches shall be in his house: ו

    and his righteousness endureth for ever.
  • Wealth and riches are in their houses,
    and their righteousness endures forever.
  • ז

    Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: ח

    he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
  • Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
    for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
  • ט

    A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: י

    he will guide his affairs with discretion.
  • Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
    who conduct their affairs with justice.

    Surely he shall not be moved for ever: ל

    the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
  • Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
    they will be remembered forever.

    He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: נ

    his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
  • They will have no fear of bad news;
    their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

    His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, ע

    until he see his desire upon his enemies.
  • Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;
    in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.

    He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; צ

    his righteousness endureth for ever; ק

    his horn shall be exalted with honour.
  • They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor,
    their righteousness endures forever;
    their hornc will be lifted high in honor.

    The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; ש

    he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: ת

    the desire of the wicked shall perish.
  • The wicked will see and be vexed,
    they will gnash their teeth and waste away;
    the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
