Начальнику хора. Раба Господня Давида, который произнёс слова песни сей к Господу, когда Господь избавил его от рук всех врагов его и от руки Саула. И он сказал:
Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
Возлюблю Тебя, Господи, крепость моя!
Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
Господь — твердыня моя и прибежище моё, Избавитель мой, Бог мой — скала моя; на Него я уповаю; щит мой, рог спасения моего и убежище моё.
Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
Призову достопоклоняемого Господа и от врагов моих спасусь.
Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
Объяли меня муки смертные, и потоки беззакония устрашили меня;
I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
цепи ада облегли меня, и сети смерти опутали меня.
Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
В тесноте моей я призвал Господа и к Богу моему воззвал. И Он услышал от чертога Своего голос мой, и вопль мой дошёл до слуха Его.
Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Потряслась и всколебалась земля, дрогнули и подвиглись основания гор, ибо разгневался Бог;
From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
поднялся дым от гнева Его и из уст Его огонь поядающий; горячие угли сыпались от Него.
They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
Наклонил Он небеса и сошёл, — и мрак под ногами Его.
They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
И воссел на Херувимов и полетел, и понёсся на крыльях ветра.
Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
И мрак сделал покровом Своим, сению вокруг Себя мрак вод, облаков воздушных.
Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
От блистания пред Ним бежали облака Его, град и угли огненные.
From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
Возгремел на небесах Господь, и Всевышний дал глас Свой, град и угли огненные.
