Why Do You Boast of Mischief?
{To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.} Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully.
Безумний говорить у серці своїм: „Нема Бога“! Зіпсу́лись вони, і несправедливість обри́дливу чинять, нема доброчи́нця!
Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Бог зо́рить із неба на лю́дських синів, щоб поба́чити, чи є там розумний, що Бога шукає.
Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
Усі повідступа́ли, разом стали оги́дними, нема доброчи́нця, нема ні одно́го!
God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
Чи ж не розуміють оті, хто беззако́ння вчиняє, що мій люд поїдають? Вони спожива́ють хліб Божий, та не кличуть Його!
The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
Тоді настраши́лися стра́хом вони, хоч страху не було, бо розсипав Бог кості того, хто тебе оточив був, — ти їх посоро́мив, бо ними пого́рдував Бог!
