Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
Вислухай, Боже, мою молитву, і не ховайся від благання мого.
Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
Прислухайся і вислухай мене. Я мучуся у моїм болі й хвилююся ворожим гуком,
My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
грішника криком, бо вони наносять мені лихо, і в гніві зо мною ворогують.
Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
Серце моє тремтить у мені, і страхи смертні налягли на мене.
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
Страх і тремтіння надійшли на мене і жах оточив мене навколо.
Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
І я кажу: Коли б то у мене крила, як у голубки я полетів би і відпочив би.
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
Ось я полинув би далеко, осівся б у пустині.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Шукав би собі захисту притьмом від буревію та від тучі.
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
Знищ, Господи, розділи їхні язики, бо я бачу насильство й розбрат у місті.
Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
Удень і вночі на мурах вони його обходять, несправедливість і кривда серед нього.
For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
Загуба серед нього, з його майдану не сходять гніт і лукавство.
But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
Якби то ворог глузував із мене, я — стерпів би; якби мій ненависник та повстав на мене, від нього я сховався б.
We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
А то ти, чоловіче, моя рівня, друг мій і мій знайомий,
Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
з котрим ми собі разом любо розмовляли, до дому Божого ходили собі у святковому гуртку.
As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
Хай смерть поб'є їх! Нехай зійдуть живими до Шеолу! — бо лиш підлота у їхніх домах і посеред них.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Я ж візву до Бога, і Господь мене врятує.
He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
Увечорі й уранці і опівдні я квилитиму й стогнатиму, і мій голос він почує.
God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
Він визволить у мирі мою душу від тих, що на мене роблять засідки: бо їх багато проти мене.
He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
Почує Бог і упокорить їх, Бог, що живе одвіку; нема бо каяття у них, вони бо не бояться Бога.
The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
Кожен підносить свої руки на своїх же друзів, Порушує свою умову.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Масніші від сметани його губи, серце ж його завжди готове до бійки. Слова його ніжніші від оливи, але вони — мечі вийняті з піхви.
