Давидова псальма про те, як він був у пустинї Юдейській. Боже, ти єси Бог мій! Тебе шукаю пильно! Жадає тебе душа моя, за тобою прагне тїло моє у землї висохлій, прагнущій, безводній,
To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Щоб бачити силу твою і славу твою, як видїв тебе в сьвятинї.
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Милість бо твоя над життє лучша; уста мої прославляти муть тебе.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Так, буду тебе хвалити, поки життя мого, руки мої підносити в імя твоє.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Як шпігом і товщею, насититься душа моя, і радісним голосом хвалити муть тебе уста мої.
When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Як згадаю тебе на моїй постелї, розмишляю про тебе у всї доби ночі.
Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
Бо ти прийшов до помочі менї, і я буду радуватись в тїнї крил твоїх.
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Душа моя йде слїдом за тобою, правиця твоя піддержує мене.
But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
Ті ж, що чигають на життє моє, щоб знищити його, пійдуть у пропастї підземні.
They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
Поразить їх сила меча, вони будуть здобичею гиєн.
