The Fifth Plague: Livestock

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Тогда Господь велел Моисею пойти к фараону и сказать ему: "Господь, Бог иудеев, говорит: "Отпусти Мой народ пойти совершить Мне служение!

For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,

Если ты будешь продолжать удерживать их и откажешься отпустить,

Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

то Господь обратит Свою силу против всего твоего скота в поле. Он наведёт ужасную болезнь на твоих лошадей, ослов, верблюдов, скот и овец.

4

And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.

4

Господь сделает различие между скотом Израиля и скотом Египта, и ни одно животное, принадлежащее израильтянам, не погибнет.

And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

5

Господь назначил время, когда всё это произойдёт: завтра Господь пошлёт это на страну"".

And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

На следующее утро весь скот Египта вымер, но ни одно животное, принадлежащее народу Израиля, не погибло.

And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

Фараон послал узнать, погибло ли что-нибудь из израильского скота, но ни одно животное Израиля не погибло. Фараон продолжал упорствовать, и не отпускал народ.

The Sixth Plague: Boils

And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону: "Наберите по пригоршне печной золы и пусть Моисей подбросит золу в воздух в присутствии фараона.

9

And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

9

Она превратится в пыль, которая пронесётся по египетской земле, и если пыль эта коснётся человека или животного, у того на теле появятся нарывы".

10

And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

Моисей и Аарон набрали из печи золу, пошли и предстали перед фараоном. Они подбросили золу в воздух, и люди и животные стали покрываться нарывами.

And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

Волшебники не смогли в этом воспрепятствовать Моисею, потому что даже у них самих были нарывы. И повсюду в Египте случилось то же самое.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

12

Но Господь сделал фараона упрямым, и он отказался слушать Моисея с Аароном. Всё случилось так, как сказал Господь.

The Seventh Plague: Hail

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Тогда Господь сказал Моисею: "Встань утром и пойди к фараону, скажи ему, что Господь, Бог иудеев, говорит так: "Отпусти мой народ пойти совершить Мне служение!

14

For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

14

Если ты не сделаешь этого, Я обращу всю Мою силу против тебя, твоих приближённых и твоего народа. И тогда ты узнаешь, что нет на земле бога, подобного Мне.

15

For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

15

Я мог бы силой Своей послать на тебя и на твой народ болезнь, которая стерла бы вас с лица земли.

16

And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

16

Но Я поместил тебя сюда, чтобы показать тебе Мою силу, и тогда люди всей земли узнают обо Мне!

17

As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

17

Ты всё ещё против Моего народа, и не отпускаешь их,

18

Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

18

и поэтому завтра, в это время, Я пошлю сильнейший град, подобного которому никогда ещё не было в Египте со дня его основания.

19

Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

19

Укрой свой скот в безопасном месте, и всё, принадлежащее тебе, что сейчас находится в поле, должно быть в укрытии, ибо всякий человек или животное, оставшееся в поле, погибнет. Град поразит всё, что не будет укрыто в домах"".

He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

20

Те из приближённых фараона, кто боялся слов Господа, быстро собрали свой скот и рабов в своих домах,

21

And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

21

другие же пренебрегли посланием Господа, и эти люди потеряли всех своих рабов и скот, которые были в поле.

22

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

22

Господь сказал Моисею: "Подними руки к небу, и град начнёт падать по всему Египту, град упадёт на людей, на скот и на все растения в полях Египта".

23

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

23

И вот Моисей поднял к небу свой дорожный посох, и Господь послал гром и молнию, и град стал падать на землю по всему Египту.

24

So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

24

Град падал, а сквозь него сверкала молния. Это был самый сильный град в Египте со времён его основания.

25

And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

25

Град уничтожил всё в полях Египта — людей, скот и растения и поломал все деревья в полях.

26

Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

26

Только в земле Гесем, там, где жил народ Израиля, не было града.

27

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

27

Фараон послал за Моисеем и Аароном и сказал им: "На этот раз я согрешил. Господь праведен, а я и народ мой виновны.

28

Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

28

Хватит с нас града и грома от Господа! Помолитесь Господу, чтобы остановить град, и я отпущу вас и не буду более удерживать здесь".

29

And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD'S.

29

"Как только я выйду из города, — сказал Моисей фараону, — я подниму руки в молитве к Господу, и перестанет греметь гром, и град остановится. И тогда ты узнаешь, что Господь в этой земле.

30

But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

30

Но я знаю, что ни ты, ни твои приближённые ещё не почитаете Бога и не боитесь Его".

31

And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

31

Лён уже дал семена, и ячмень заколосился, поэтому эти растения и погибли,

32

But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

32

но пшеница и полба поспевают позже, чем другие злаки, и поэтому они не погибли.

33

And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

33

Моисей ушёл от фараона, вышел из города и простёр руки в молитве к Господу. Град и гром прекратились, а потом остановился и дождь.

34

And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

34

Увидев, что дождь, град и гром прекратились, фараон опять поступил неправедно: он и его приближённые снова заупрямились.

35

And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

35

Фараон отказался отпустить народ Израиля. Всё случилось так, как Господь предсказал через Моисея.
