The Mountain of the Lord

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Слово, що було від Господа до Ісаї, сина Амоса, про Юдею і про Єрусалим.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Адже в останні дні явною буде Господня гора і Божий дім на верхів’ї гір, — він підніметься понад пагорби. І прийдуть до нього всі народи,

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

прийдуть численні народи і скажуть: Давайте підемо до Господньої гори і до дому Бога Якова, і Він сповістить нам Свою дорогу, і підемо по ній! Адже із Сіону вийде закон, і Господнє слово — з Єрусалима.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Він учинить суд між народами і звинуватить численний народ, і перекують їхні мечі на плуги, а їхні списи — на серпи, і більше не візьме народ проти народу меча, і більше не вчитимуться воювати.

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Тепер же, доме Якова, давайте підемо в Господньому світлі!

The Day of the Reckoning

Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

Адже Він вивів Свій народ, дім Ізраїля, бо їхня країна, як на початку, наповнилася чаклунством, як та країна чужинців, і в них народилися численні чужі діти.

Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

Бо їхня країна наповнилася сріблом і золотом, і не було міри їхнім скарбам. І земля наповнилася кіньми, і не було рахунку їхнім колісницям.

Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

І земля сповнилася гидотами діл їхніх рук, і вони поклонялися тим, яких зробили їхні пальці.

And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

І схилилася додолу людина, і впокорений був чоловік, тож не прощу їм!

10

Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

Тепер же зійдіть у скелі й сховайтеся в землю з-перед Господнього страху і від слави Його могутності, коли Він підійметься, щоб уразити землю.

11

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

Адже Господні очі високі, а чоловік упокорений. Тож принижена буде піднесеність людей, а сам Господь звеличиться в той день.

12

For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Бо прийде день Господа Саваота на кожного зарозумілого, гордого і на кожного високого, на того, хто високо здіймається, — вони будуть упокорені;

13

And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

13

і буде над усяким високим деревом Лівану — над тими, хто підноситься, і над кожним дубом Васану,

14

And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

14

і над усякою горою, і над усяким високим пагорбом,

15

And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

15

і над усяким високим стовпом, і над усяким високим муром,

16

And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

16

і над усім, що пливе по морі, і над усяким гарним виглядом кораблів.

17

And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

17

І кожна людина буде впокорена, і впаде велич людини, а один Господь буде звеличений у той день.

18

And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

18

І сховають усіх рукотворних ідолів,

19

And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

19

вносячи в печери, кам’яні ущелини і ями землі з-перед Господнього страху і від слави Його могутності, коли Він підійметься, щоб уразити землю.

20

In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

20

У той день людина викине свої срібні й золоті гидоти, які зробила, щоб поклонятися марнотам і кажанам,

21

To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

21

аби ввійти в ущелини твердої скелі та розколини в камінні з-перед Господнього страху і від слави Його могутності, коли Він підійметься, щоб уразити землю.
