So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.

and the one who smooths with the hammer
spurs on the one who strikes the anvil.
One says of the welding, “It is good.”
The other nails down the idol so it will not topple. -

The carver encourages the goldsmith,

Carefully they join the parts together,
then fasten the thing in place so it won’t fall over. -

Ремесленник ободряет плавильщика,
а чеканщик — кузнеца,
говоря о спайке: «Она хороша!»
Он крепит идола гвоздями,
чтобы не рухнул. -
Скріпився будівничий чоловік і коваль, який б’є молотком, заразом б’є. Коли ж скаже: З’єднання добре, укріпили їх цвяхами, покладуть їх і не порушаться.
