So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.

So Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying, “As the Lord lives, who made our very souls, I will not put you to death, nor will I give you into the hand of these men who seek your life.”

But King Zedekiah swore this oath secretly to Jeremiah: “As surely as the Lord lives, who has given us breath, I will neither kill you nor hand you over to those who want to kill you.” -

И клялся царь Седекия Иеремии тайно, говоря: жив Господь, Который сотворил нам душу сию, не предам тебя смерти и не отдам в руки этих людей, которые ищут души твоей.

Тоді цар Седекія забожився потайки: «Як жив Господь, що дарував нам оце життя, не вб'ю тебе й не видам у руки тих людей, що важать на твоє життя.»

І забожився царь Седекія перед Еремією тайкома: Так певно, як живе Господь, що сотворив нашу душу, не вбю тебе та й не подам у руки тим, що важать на твою душу. -
I присягнув цар Седекія Єремії таємно, говорячи: „Як живий Господь, що створив нам цю душу: не вб'ю тебе, і не дам тебе в руку тих людей, що шукають твоєї душі!“

Но царь Цедекия тайно поклялся Иеремии:
— Верно, как и то, что жив Господь, Который вложил в нас дыхание: я не убью тебя и не выдам тем, кто ищет твоей смерти. -
Так сказав Господь: Нехай пропаде твій голос від плачу, а твої очі — від сліз, бо це нагорода за твої діла, і вони повернуться із землі ворогів,
