Daniel's Vision of the Ram and Goat

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

Во время третьего года царствования царя Валтасара, явилось мне видение, которое было после другого видения.

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

В этом видении я видел, что нахожусь в городе Сузы. Сузы был столичным городом в Еламской области. Я стоял у реки Улая.

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

Я поднял глаза и увидел: у реки стоит баран с двумя длинными рогами, один из его рогов длиннее другого и растёт позади того рога.

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

Я наблюдал, как этот баран бодался во все стороны: на запад, север и юг. Никакой зверь не мог остановить его, и никто не мог спасти от него других животных. Баран делал, что хотел, и стал очень сильным.

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

Я внимательно следил за этим бараном и вдруг увидел, что с запада идёт козёл. Козёл этот обегал землю, но ноги его не касались земли. У него между глазами был один большой рог, который был виден отовсюду.

And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

Козёл подошёл к барану, у которого было два рога, и которого я видел стоящим у реки Улая. Козёл был в ярости и бросился на барана.

And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

Я видел, как он бросился в ярости на барана и сломал оба его рога. Баран не смог остановить козла, тот повалил его на землю и растоптал. И не было никого, кто бы мог спасти барана от козла.

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

И стал козёл могучим. Но когда он стал таким сильным, сломался его большой рог, и на его месте выросли четыре рога, обращенные на четыре стороны, и их было отовсюду видно.

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

От одного из этих четырёх рогов вырос ещё один рог, который очень разросся к югу, к востоку и к прекрасной стране.

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

Этот маленький рог стал очень большим и рос, пока не достиг неба. Он даже опрокинул на землю несколько звёзд и растоптал их.

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

Этот маленький рог стал очень сильным и обратился против Повелителя Небесного Войска. Маленький рог остановил ежедневные жертвы, приносимые Ему, и разрушил Его храм.

And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Маленький рог незаконно распоряжался ежедневными жертвами и поверг истину на землю. Он делал это и во всём преуспевал.

13

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Затем я услышал, как говорил один из святых, а другой святой отвечал ему. Первый сказал: "Сколько будет продолжаться это видение? Как долго он будет распоряжаться ежедневной жертвой, и как долго будут продолжаться эти опустошительные преступления? Как долго они будут попирать храм и войско небесное?"

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

А другой святой ответил ему: "Это будет происходить в течение двух тысяч и трёхсот дней. После этого святилище будет объявлено чистым".

Gabriel Interprets Daniel's Vision

And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

Я, Даниил, увидел это видение и попробовал объяснить, что оно значит. Пока я обдумывал его, некто, походивший на человека, встал передо мною.

And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

А затем я услышал мужской голос, который доносился из-за реки Улай. Голос этот взывал: "Гавриил! Объясни видение этому человеку".

17

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

И Гавриил, ангел, который выглядел, как человек, подошёл ко мне. Я очень испугался и упал на землю, но Гавриил сказал мне: "Сын человеческий, пойми, что это видение относится к концу времени".

Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

Пока Гавриил говорил, я без чувств лежал на земле. Это был очень глубокий сон. Потом Гавриил прикоснулся ко мне и поднял меня на ноги.

And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

Он сказал: "Теперь я объясню тебе видение. Я расскажу тебе, что произойдёт в будущем. Твоё видение было о конце времён.

20

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

20

Ты видел барана с двумя рогами. Это страны — Мидия и Персия.

21

And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

Козёл — царь Греции. Большой рог у него между глаз — первый царь.

22

Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

22

Этот рог сломался, и вместо него выросли четыре других рога. Эти четыре рога — четыре царства, и выйдут они из народа первого царя. Но эти четыре народа не будут так сильны, как первый царь.

23

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

Когда конец этих царств будет близок, придёт ещё один царь, наглый, жестокий и коварный. Это случится, когда будет множество грешников.

24

And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

Этот царь будет очень могущественным, но сила его не будет исходить от него самого. Этот царь произведёт ужасные опустошения. Ему будет удаваться всё, что бы он ни делал, и он уничтожит сильных людей и даже Божьих святых людей.

25

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Этот царь будет очень умён и коварен. Мудростью и ложью он добьётся успеха и превознесётся. Он уничтожит много людей тогда, когда они этого меньше всего ожидают. Он даже попытается бороться с Владыкой владык (Богом). Сила этого жестокого царя будет сокрушена, но не рукою человека.

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

Видение об этих временах и о том, что я сказал, истинно. Но ты скрой это видение, ибо всё это произойдёт ещё не скоро".

27

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

27

И я, Даниил, совсем изнемог после этого видения и несколько дней болел, потом же снова начал работать на царя. Но это видение очень расстроило меня и я не понимал его.
