Hosea Announces Israel's Punishment
Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

Не тішся, Ізраїлю, радістю, як ті наро́ди, бо ти чиниш блуд, відступа́ючи від свого Бога, дар блудоді́йний кохаєш на всіх то́ках збіжже́вих.
The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
Годувати не буде їх тік та чави́ло, а сік виноградний зведе́ їх.
They shall not dwell in the LORD'S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
Не будуть сидіти в Госпо́дньому Кра́ї вони, і Єфрем до Єгипту пове́рнеться, і вони будуть їсти нечисте в Асирії.
They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
Господе́ві вина вони лити не бу́дуть, і жертви не бу́дуть приємні Йому; це буде для них, немов хліб похоро́нний, — усі, що будуть його́ споживати, занечи́стяться, бо їхній хліб — для наси́чення їх, — не для дому Госпо́днього.
What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?
Що зробите ви на день урочи́стий та на день свята Госпо́днього?
For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
Бо йдуть ось вони до Асирії, їх збирає Єгипет, Мемфі́с їх ховає, кошто́вність їхнього срі́бла пося́де кропи́ва, будя́ччя по їхніх наме́тах.
The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
Прийшли дні наві́щення, прийшли дні заплати, — Ізраїль пізна́є оце: „Нерозумний пророк цей, шале́ний муж духа“, — за числе́нність прови́н твоїх і велике знена́видження!
The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
Єфрем — сторож із Богом мої́м, пророк — па́стка птахоло́ва на всіх доро́гах його, нена́висть у домі Бога його́.
They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
Глибо́ко зіпсулись вони, як за днів тих Ґів'ї, Він згадає за їхні провини, Він їхні гріхи покарає!
I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
Немов виноград на пустині, знайшов Я Ізраїля, як фігу пора́нню на фіґовім дереві, Я бачив був ваших батьків на поча́тку його, та вони до Баал-Пеору прийшли, і себе присвяти́ли для Бо́шета, і стали гидотою, як полю́блене ними.
As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
Єфремова слава, як птах, відлети́ть: не буде наро́дження, ані зачаття́, ані вагі́тности.
Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
Бо якщо вони ви́кохають свої діти, то їх повбиваю, так що не бу́де люди́ни, бо горе їм, як відступлю́ Я від них.
Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
Єфрем, як Я бачу, — для вло́вів йому подали́ його власних дітей, і Єфрем поведе́ своїх власних дітей на зарі́з...
Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
Дай їм, Господи, — що ж Ти даси́? — дай їм утро́бу неплі́дну та ви́сохлі гру́ди!
All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
Усе їхнє зло у Ґілга́лі, бо там Я знена́видів їх; за зло їхніх учинків Я ви́жену їх з Свого дому. Не бу́ду їх більше любити, — всі їхні князі́ ворохо́бники!
Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
Побитий Єфрем, їхній корень посо́х, — він пло́ду не зро́дить. А коли вони зро́дять, то Я повбиваю улю́блених їхнього ло́на.
