Cleansing the Leper

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

1

Господь промовив до Мойсея, кажучи:

This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:

2

Ось закон про прокаженого. Того дня, якого він очиститься, нехай він буде приведений до священика.

3

And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper;

3

А священик нехай вийде за табір, і нехай священик учинить огляд; і ось — якщо ураження проказою в прокаженого оздоровлюється,

4

Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

4

то нехай священик звелить, — і для того, хто очистився, візьмуть дві живі чисті пташки, кедрове дерево, багряну пряжу та гісоп.

And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:

Нехай священик звелить, — і одну пташку заріжуть до глиняної посудини, над джерельною водою.

As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:

Тоді він візьме живу пташку, — її та кедрове дерево, багряну пряжу та гісоп, — вмочить їх та живу пташку в кров пташки, зарізаної над джерельною водою,

And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.

And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.

А очищений нехай випере свій одяг, поголить усе своє волосся та помиється у воді — і буде чистий. І після цього ввійде до табору та сім днів перебуватиме поза своїм домом.

9

But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.

І буде, — сьомого дня нехай він ще раз поголить усе своє волосся: свою голову, бороду і брови, — нехай поголить усе своє волосся; і нехай випере одяг та помиє водою своє тіло — і буде чистий.

10

And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.

А восьмого дня нехай візьме двох однолітніх ягнят без вади, одну однолітню вівцю без вади, три десятих частини ефи питльованого борошна для [хлібної] жертви, замішеного на олії, і один лог олії;

And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

11

і священик, який очищує, поставить людину, яка очищується, та ці дари перед Господом, біля входу в намет свідчення.

12

And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:

12

Священик візьме одне ягня і принесе його в [жертву за] переступ разом із логом олії, і відлучить це як [жертву] відлучення перед Господом.

13

And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy:

І нехай заріжуть ягня на місці, де ріжуть жертви всепалення та [жертви] за гріх, — на святому місці. Бо [жертва] за гріх, як і [жертва за] переступ, є для священика. Це є святе святих.

14

And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

14

Відтак священик візьме крові [жертви за] переступ й нанесе її священик на мочку правого вуха того, хто очищується, на кінчик правої руки й на кінчик правої ноги.

15

And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:

15

Далі священик, узявши з лога олії, наллє на свою власну ліву руку,

16

And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:

16

вмочить палець правої руки в олію, що на лівій руці, та сім разів покропить пальцем перед Господом.

17

And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:

17

Олію ж, яка залишиться на руці, нехай священик нанесе на мочку правого вуха того, хто очищується, на кінчик правої руки й на кінчик правої ноги — на місце крові [жертви за] переступ.

18

And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD.

18

Олію ж, яка залишиться на руці священика, нехай священик виллє на голову очищеного і нехай звершить священик за нього викуплення перед Господом.

19

And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:

19

Відтак нехай священик принесе [жертву] за гріх і нехай звершить священик викуплення за того, хто очищається, від його гріха. Після цього нехай священик заріже жертву всепалення;

20

And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

20

і нехай священик піднесе всепалення та [хлібну] жертву на жертовник перед Господом. Так священик звершить за нього викуплення, і він буде очищений.

21

And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;

Якщо ж він був би бідний, і його рука не знаходила б цього, то нехай візьме одне ягня за те, чим допустився переступу, на [жертву] відділення, щоб звершити за нього викуплення; десяту частину ефи питльованого борошна, замішеного на олії, на [хлібну] жертву; один лог олії

22

And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

та дві горлиці або двох голубенят, які його рука знайде, — і одне буде [на жертву] за гріх, а друге — на всепалення.

23

And he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the LORD.

23

І восьмого дня нехай принесе їх для свого очищення до священика, до входу в намет свідчення, перед Господом.

24

And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:

24

І нехай священик, взявши ягня [жертви за] переступ та лог олії, покладе їх як [жертву] покладання перед Господом.

25

And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

25

Тоді нехай він заріже ягня [жертви за] переступ. І візьме священик крові [жертви за] переступ, і нанесе на мочку правого вуха того, хто очищується, на кінчик правої руки й на кінчик правої ноги.

26

And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand:

26

Відтак нехай священик наллє на свою власну ліву руку олії

27

And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD:

27

і пальцем правої руки нехай священик покропить сім разів перед Господом олією, що на його лівій руці.

28

And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:

28

І нехай священик нанесе олії, що на його руці, на мочку правого вуха того, хто очищується, на кінчик його правої руки й на кінчик його правої ноги — на місце крові [жертви за] переступ.

29

And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the LORD.

29

А те, що залишиться з олії, що на руці священика, нехай священик виллє на голову очищеного, і нехай священик звершить за нього викуплення перед Господом.

30

And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get;

30

Відтак нехай він принесе одну з горлиць чи одне з голубенят — відповідно до того, що знайшла його рука:

31

Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before the LORD.

31

одне — [на жертву] за гріх, а друге — на всепалення, разом з [хлібною] жертвою. Так священик звершить за того, хто очищується, викуплення перед Господом.

32

This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleansing.

32

Такий закон про того, у кого є ураження проказою, і того, хто не знаходить рукою необхідного для свого очищення.

33

Signs of Home Contamination

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

33

Господь промовив до Мойсея та Аарона, кажучи:

34

When ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession;

34

Як увійдете в землю ханаанців, яку Я даю вам у власність, і Я пошлю вам ураження проказою в домах землі вашої власності,

35

And he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me there is as it were a plague in the house:

35

то нехай той, чиїм є дім, прийде та сповістить священикові, кажучи: Щось схоже на ураження появилося в моєму домі.

36

Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:

36

І перед тим, як священик, увійшовши, огляне ураження, нехай священик звелить повиносити з дому речі, — і те, що було б у домі, не стане нечистим. Після цього нехай священик увійде, щоб обстежити дім,

37

And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall;

37

і якщо побачить, що ураження на стінах дому — зеленуваті або червонуваті заглиблення, і їхній вигляд — глибший від поверхні стін,

38

Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days:

38

то нехай священик вийде з дому до входу дому й нехай священик ізолює той дім на сім днів.

39

And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;

39

Сьомого дня нехай священик повернеться і знову огляне дім. І ось — якщо ураження поширилося по стінах дому,

40

Then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:

40

то нехай священик звелить, — і нехай камені, на яких є ураження, виймуть і викинуть їх на нечисте місце поза містом,

41

And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the dust that they scrape off without the city into an unclean place:

41

а дім нехай обшкребуть зсередини довкола і висиплють тиньк на нечисте місце поза містом.

42

And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall plaister the house.

42

Тоді нехай візьмуть інші обшкрябані камені й поставлять замість тих каменів, і нехай візьмуть інший тиньк та обтинькують дім.

43

And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plaistered;

43

Якщо ж після того, як камені вийнято, і як дім обшкрябано та обтиньковано, ураження повернеться знову і з’явиться в тому домі,

44

Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean.

44

то нехай священик прийде і вчинить огляд, — і якщо ураження поширюється по домі, то це є злоякісна проказа в домі, він — нечистий.

45

And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

45

Нехай той дім розвалять, а дерево з нього, каміння з нього та весь тиньк нехай винесуть на нечисте місце поза містом.

46

Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.

46

Хто ввійде до того дому впродовж усього часу, коли він ізольований, буде нечистим до вечора.

47

And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.

47

А хто спатиме в тому домі, нехай випере свій одяг, — і буде нечистим до вечора; і хто їстиме в тому домі, нехай випере свій одяг, — і буде нечистим до вечора.

48

Cleansing a Home

And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

48

Якщо ж священик, прийшовши, увійде і побачить, що після того, як дім був обтинькований, ураження зовсім не поширюється [1] по домі, то нехай священик оголосить той дім чистим, бо ураження пройшло.

49

And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

49

Нехай він візьме дві живі чисті пташки, кедрове дерево, багряну пряжу та гісоп, щоб очистити той дім,

50

And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:

50

і нехай заріже одну пташку до глиняної посудини, над джерельною водою;

51

And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:

51

тоді нехай візьме кедрове дерево, багряну пряжу, гісоп та живу пташку, вмочить їх у кров пташки, зарізаної над джерельною водою, і сім разів обкропить ними дім,

52

And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:

52

і очистить той дім кров’ю пташки, джерельною водою, живою пташкою, кедровим деревом, гісопом та багряною пряжею.

53

But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.

53

А живу пташку нехай відпустить поза містом у поле. Так він звершить за дім викуплення, — і він буде чистий.

54

This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,

54

Такий закон про будь-яке ураження проказою, про парші,

And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,
