Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

Though you ascend as high as the eagle,
And though you set your nest among the stars,
From there I will bring you down,” says the Lord. -

Якщо б ти підні́сся, немов той орел, і якщо б ти кубло́ своє склав поміж зо́рями, — то й звідти Я скину тебе, промовляє Госпо́дь!

Но даже если ты, подобно орлу,
поднимешься ввысь
и устроишь гнездо свое среди звезд,
то и оттуда Я низвергну тебя, —
возвещает Господь. — -
Хоча б ти піднявся вгору, як орел, чи поставив своє гніздо поміж зірками, Я звідти тебе поверну, — говорить Господь.
