Woe to the Oppressors

Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

Вони були тими, що замислюють лихо і чинять зло на їхніх постелях, і разом у день їх завершували, тому що не підняли до Бога своїх рук.

And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

І жадали поля, обкрадали сиріт і насилували доми, і грабували мужа, його дім, мужа і його спадок.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.

Через це так говорить Господь: Ось Я задумую зло проти цього племені, з якого ви не підведете вашої шиї і раптово не підете прямо, бо час злий.

In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.

У той день співатимуть про вас притчу і заплаче голосіння піснею, кажучи: Ми стали зовсім нещасні [1]. Частину мого народу заміряно шнуром, і не було того, хто перешкодив би йому, щоб відвернути. Наші поля розділені.

Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

Через це не буде в тебе того, хто кидає мірний шнур у спадок у Господньому зборі.

The False Prophets

Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

Не плачте слізьми, і хай не проливають над цим сліз, бо погорда не віддалиться!

O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Хто каже: Дім Якова викликав гнів Господнього Духа. Хіба це не є Його задуми? Чи Його слова з ним не є гарними і чи не прямо пішли?

Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

І спереду Мій народ повстав на ворожнечу. Замість його миру здерли його шкіру, щоб забрати надію в руйнуванні війни.

The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

Через це володарі Мого народу будуть викинені з їхніх домів їжі, — погані через їхні задуми були викинені. Наблизьтеся до вічних гір!

Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

Устань і йди, бо немає для тебе цього спочинку через нечистоту! Зітлійте тлінням,

If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

ви втекли, коли ніхто не гнався! Дух поставив неправду, накапав тобі на вино і оп’яніння. І буде, що з краплі цього народу

The Remnant of Israel

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

Яків неодмінно буде зібраний [2] з усіма. Я безсумнівно очікуватиму [3] тих, що залишилися з Ізраїля, разом поставлю їхнє повернення. Так, як вівці в скорботі, як отара посеред їхньої загороди, вони вискочать від людей.

The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.

Через розвалину перед їхнім обличчям пробили, і пройшли через браму, і вийшли крізь неї, і їхній цар вийшов перед їхнім обличчям, і Господь їх вестиме.
