Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
"Повелеваю израильскому народу содержать свой стан так, чтобы в нём не было ни болезни, ни заразы. Вели народу отсылать из стана всех, у кого тяжёлое кожное заболевание, вели отсылать из стана всех, у кого выделения, и вели также отсылать из стана всякого, кто дотронется до мёртвого тела.
Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
И мужчин и женщин отсылай прочь из стана, чтобы они не распространяли болезни или заразу в стане, где Я обитаю среди вас".
And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
Народ повиновался Богу. Они отослали таких людей прочь из стана и сделали так, как Господь повелел Моисею.
Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;

Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
Поэтому пусть тот человек расскажет людям о совершённом им грехе, а потом сполна заплатит за причинённый вред, и пусть прибавит к плате пятую часть её и заплатит всё это человеку, которому причинил вред.
But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
Если у мёртвого нет близких родственников, чтобы принять плату, то причинивший вред отдаст плату Господу. Тот человек заплатит сполна священнику, священник же пусть принесёт в жертву барана очищения. Пусть этот баран будет принесён в жертву во искупление грехов согрешившего, остаток же платы священник может оставить себе.
And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
Если кто из израильского народа принесёт священный дар, то священник, принимающий дар, может оставить его себе, это принадлежит ему.
And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.
Эти священные дары приносить не обязательно, но если человек приносит их, то дары принадлежат священнику".
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
"Скажи израильскому народу вот что: если случится, что жена не верна мужу,
And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
имеет сношения с другим мужчиной и скрывает это от мужа, и некому сказать мужу, что жена согрешила, то муж её может никогда не узнать о том, что она согрешила, она же сама может не сказать мужу о своём грехе.
And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:
Муж, однако, может начать подозревать, что жена согрешила против него, станет ревновать и думать, что она нечиста и неверна ему.
Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
Пусть тогда отведёт жену к священнику и принесёт за неё в жертву 8 чашек ячменной муки, но пусть не кладёт в муку ни елея, ни ливана. Ячменная мука — приношение хлебное Господу, приношение ревности. Это приношение в знак того, что муж считает свою жену неверной.
And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:
Священник приведёт женщину и поставит её перед Господом,
And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
потом возьмёт особую воду и нальёт в глиняный кувшин, а затем положит в воду немного земли с пола священного шатра.
And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
После этого он велит женщине встать перед Господом, распустит ей волосы, вложит в руку хлебное приношение, ячменную муку, принесённую её мужем по причине ревности, у него же в руках будет глиняный кувшин с особой водой, наводящей на женщину проклятие.
And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:
Потом священник скажет женщине, чтобы она не лгала, и она должна пообещать сказать правду. Священник скажет ей: "Если ты не спала с другим мужчиной и не согрешила против мужа за время своего замужества, то эта вода, наводящая проклятие, не причинит тебе вреда.
But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:
Если же ты согрешила против мужа, если имела сношения с мужчиной, который тебе не муж, то ты осквернилась
Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
и, выпив эту воду, ты будешь проклята: не сможешь иметь детей, а если сейчас беременна, то дитя умрёт. И тогда твой народ отречётся от тебя и проклянёт". Затем пусть священник велит женщине, чтобы она дала Господу клятву и сказала, что все эти беды случатся с ней, если она солжёт.
And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
Пусть священник скажет: "Ты должна выпить эту воду, наводящую проклятие. Если ты согрешила, то не сможешь иметь детей, а если беременна, то дитя умрёт, не родившись". А женщина пусть скажет: "Согласна сделать, как ты говоришь".
And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:
Пусть священник напишет эти заклинания на свитке, а потом смоет слова в воду.
And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.
Пусть женщина выпьет эту воду, наводящую проклятие, и войдёт эта вода внутрь её и вызовет страшные муки.
Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
Затем священник возьмёт у неё хлебное приношение, приношение в знак ревности, и вознесёт его перед Господом, а потом принесёт его к алтарю.
And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.
Священник возьмёт в руки часть зерна, положит его на алтарь и сожжёт его там, а после этого велит женщине выпить воду.
And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.
Если женщина согрешила против мужа, то вода наведёт на неё проклятие, войдёт в тело и вызовет у неё страшные муки. Если внутри у неё дитя, то оно умрёт, не родившись, и она больше никогда не сможет иметь детей, и весь народ будет против неё.
And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.
Если же женщина не согрешила против мужа, то священник скажет, что она невинна. С ней ничего не случится, и она сможет иметь детей.
This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;
Вот каков закон о ревности, вот что следует делать, если женщина согрешила против мужа во время замужества,
Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.
и что следует делать мужу, если он ревнует и подозревает, что жена согрешила против него. Пусть священник велит женщине встать перед Господом и сделает с ней всё по этому закону.
