The Temptation of Jesus

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

И тогда Дух повёл Иисуса в пустыню, дабы подвергнуть Его искушению дьяволом.

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

Иисус постился сорок дней и ночей

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

и был очень голоден. Тогда к Нему пришёл искуситель и сказал: "Если Ты Сын Божий, то прикажи, чтобы камни эти превратились в караваи хлеба".

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Но Иисус сказал в ответ: "Написано: "Не хлебом единым жив человек, а всяким словом, исходящим из уст Божьих".

Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

Тогда дьявол взял Его с собой в святой Иерусалим, поставил Его на самую высокую башню храма

And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

и сказал: "Если Ты — Сын Божий, то бросься вниз, ибо сказано в Писании: "И велит Он ангелам Своим охранять Тебя, и снесут они Тебя на руках, чтобы ноги Твои не коснулись камня!"

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Иисус отвечал ему: "Но в Писании сказано также: "Не искушай Господа Бога твоего!"

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

После этого дьявол перенёс Его на высокую гору и показал Ему все царства мира во всём их великолепии.

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

9

И сказал он Ему: "Я дам Тебе всё это, если падёшь предо мной ниц и станешь мне поклоняться".

10

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

И ответил тогда ему Иисус: "Отойди от Меня, сатана! Сказано в Писании: "Поклоняйся Господу Богу твоему и служи Ему одному!"

11

Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

11

И тогда дьявол оставил Его, и пришли к Нему ангелы и стали Ему служить.

Jesus Begins His Ministry

Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

Когда Иисус услышал, что Иоанна взяли под стражу, Он отправился обратно в Галилею.

13

And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

Однако Он не остался в Назарете, а пошёл и поселился в Капернауме, неподалеку от Галилейского озера, в земле Заввулона и Неффалима.

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

Это случилось во исполнение того, что было сказано устами пророка Исайи:

The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

15

"Земля Заввулона и земля Неффалима, по пути к морю, за рекой Иордан! Галилея! Обиталище язычников.

16

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

16

Люди, живущие во тьме, увидели яркий свет, и для тех, кто живёт на земле в тени смерти, воссиял свет".

17

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

С того времени Иисус начал проповедовать и говорить: "Покайтесь, ибо Царство Небесное близко".

Jesus Calls His First Disciples

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Проходя мимо Галилейского озера, Он увидел двух братьев: Симона, по прозванию Пётр, и брата его Андрея. Они были рыбаками и в это время забрасывали в озеро свою сеть.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

19

Он сказал им: "Следуйте за Мной, и Я сделаю вас ловцами душ".

20

And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

20

И они сразу же оставили свои сети и последовали за Ним.

21

And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

21

А Он пошёл дальше и увидел других двух братьев: Иакова, сына Зеведея, и брата его Иоанна. Он увидел их в лодке вместе с их отцом Зеведеем, где они чинили сети. Он позвал их,

And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

22

и они тотчас оставили лодку и отца своего и пошли за Ним.

Jesus Heals Great Multitudes

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

23

И Он пошёл по всей Галилее, проповедуя в синагогах и благовествуя о Царстве Небесном, исцеляя болезни и недуги среди народа.

24

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Весть о Нём распространилась по всей Сирии, и люди приносили к Нему всех больных, поражённых разными недугами, мучимых болями и одержимых бесами, эпилептиков и паралитиков, и Иисус исцелял всех.

25

And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

Множество народа следовало за Ним из Галилеи, Десятиградия, Иерусалима, Иудеи и из-за Иордана.
