Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

Приближалось время иудейского праздника Пасхи. Иисус знал, что наступило время для Него перейти от мира сего к Отцу. И, любя тех, кто последовал за Ним в мире, Он решил показать, сколь беспредельна Его любовь.

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

Все сидели за ужином. Дьявол уже убедил Иуду, сына Симона Искариота, предать Иисуса.

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

Иисус знал, что Отец дал Ему власть над всем, и что Он пришёл от Бога и возвратится к Нему.

He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

4

И потому, Он поднялся из-за стола, снял с Себя верхнюю одежду и подпоясался полотенцем.

After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

Потом Он налил в умывальницу воды и начал омывать ноги своим ученикам, и отирать их полотенцем, которым был подпоясан.

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

Так Он дошёл до Симона Петра. Пётр сказал Ему: "Господи, неужели Ты станешь омывать мне ноги?"

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

7

Иисус ответил ему: "Сейчас ты не понимаешь, что Я делаю, но позже поймёшь".

Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Пётр сказал: "Никогда ты не будешь омывать мне ноги!" Иисус ответил ему: "Если Я не омою их, не будет тебе места рядом со Мной".

Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

Симон Пётр сказал Ему: "Господи, омой не только мои ноги, но и руки мои, и голову!" Иисус ответил ему:

Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

10

"Тому, кто омылся, нужно омыть только ноги, ибо тело его чисто. Но не все среди вас чисты".

For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

Он знал, кто должен будет предать Его, потому и сказал: "Не все среди вас чисты".

So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

Кончив омовение ног, Он снова надел верхнюю одежду, вернулся на Своё место за столом и сказал им: "Понимаете ли Вы, что Я сделал для вас?

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

13

Вы называете меня "Господь" и "Учитель", и вы правы, ибо так оно и есть.

14

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

14

Так если Я, ваш Учитель и Господь, омыл вам ноги, то и вы должны омывать ноги друг другу.

15

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

15

Я дал вам пример, чтобы и вы для других делали то же, что Я делаю для вас.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

Истинно говорю: слуга не выше своего хозяина, и тот, кого послали исполнить поручение, не выше того, кто послал его.

17

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

17

Если будете знать это, то обретёте счастье, исполняя.

Jesus Predicts His Betrayal

I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.

18

Я не говорю обо всех вас. Я знаю тех, кого избрал, но и то, что сказано в Писании, тоже должно исполниться: "Тот, кто ел вместе со Мной, обратился против Меня".

Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

19

Я говорю вам об этом сейчас, прежде чем это свершилось, чтобы, когда свершится, вы поверили, что Я — Сущий.

20

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

20

Истинно говорю: кто принимает посланного Мною, принимает и Меня, а кто принимает Меня, принимает и Пославшего Меня".

When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

Сказав это, Иисус взволнованно засвидетельствовал и сказал прямо: "Истинно говорю вам, один из вас предаст Меня".

Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.

Его ученики стали переглядываться, не понимая, о ком Он говорит.

Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

Один из учеников, которого Иисус особенно любил, сидел за столом рядом с Иисусом.

Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.

Симон Пётр сделал ему знак, чтобы тот спросил, о ком же это Иисус говорит.

He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?

Тот, склонившись к самой груди Иисуса, спросил Его: "Господи, кто же это?"

Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

Иисус ответил: "Тот, для кого Я обмакну кусок хлеба в миску с едой и передам ему". И, обмакнув кусок хлеба в миску, передал его Иуде, сыну Симона Искариота.

And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

27

Как только Иуда взял этот кусок хлеба, сатана тотчас вошёл в него. И сказал Иисус: "Сделай скорее то, что собираешься сделать".

Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.

28

Но никто из тех, кто возлежал рядом с Иисусом, не понял, к чему Он это сказал ему.

For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

29

А так как у Иуды был их общий ящик с пожертвованиями, некоторые подумали, что Иисус говорит ему: "Купи всё, что нам нужно для празднества", — или велит раздать милостыню бедным.

He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.

30

Иуда же взял кусок хлеба и тут же вышел. Была ночь.

A New Command I Give You

Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

31

Когда Иуда ушёл, Иисус сказал: "Ныне Сын Человеческий обрёл свою славу, и Бог восславлен через Него.

32

If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

32

Если Бог восславлен через Него, то и Сам Сын Человеческой будет восславлен Богом, и Бог восславит Его вскоре.

33

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.

33

Возлюбленные дети мои, недолго Мне осталось быть с вами. Вы будете искать Меня, но, как сказал Я иудеям, вы не сможете пойти туда, куда иду Я; так и вам говорю теперь.

34

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

34

Я даю вам новую заповедь: возлюбите друг друга. Вы должны любить друг друга так, как Я любил вас.

35

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

35

И если у вас будет любовь друг к другу, то всякий будет знать, что вы Мои ученики".

Jesus Predicts Peter's Denial

Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.

36

Симон Пётр сказал Ему: "Господи, куда Ты идёшь?" Иисус ответил: "Ты не можешь пойти за Мной сейчас, но потом пойдёшь за Мной".

Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.

37

Пётр спросил: "Господи, почему я не могу последовать за Тобой сейчас? Я отдал бы за Тебя душу".

38

Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

38

И ответил Иисус: "Душу за Меня отдашь? Истинно говорю: не успеет ещё петух пропеть, как ты трижды от Меня отречёшься".
