And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.

Cutting loose the anchors, they left them in the sea and at the same time untied the ropes that held the rudders. Then they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach. -

So they cut off the anchors and left them in the sea. Then they lowered the rudders, raised the foresail, and headed toward shore.

И, подняв якоря, пошли по морю и, развязав рули и подняв малый парус по ветру, держали к берегу.

Вони відчепили котви й пустили їх у море; одночасно вони розв'язали деменні мотузки і, розпустивши проти вітру жаглик, пустилися на берег;

І, витягши якорі, пустились морем, порозвязувавши завязї деменові і піднявши парусок по вітру, прямували до берега. -
Отож, відрубавши якорі, вони залишили їх у морі. Потім моряки відв’язали канати, якими були закріплені керма, й поставивши вітрило за вітром, попрямували до берега.

Підняли тоді кі́тви, і повкидали до моря, і порозв'язували поворо́зки в стерна́, і вітри́ло мале за вітром поставили, — та й покерува́ли до берега.

Обрубив якоря и оставив их в море, матросы развязали рулевые весла, подняли малый парус и направили судно к берегу.

Піднявши якорі, пустилися в море, водночас послабили канати на стерні й, піднявши мале вітрило, оскільки дув вітер, попрямували до берега.
