The Seventh Year
At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD'S release.
Ось заповідь стосовно прощення: Простиш кожний особистий борг, який винен тобі ближній, і не вимагатимеш його від свого брата, бо оголошено прощення задля Господа, твого Бога.
Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;
Від чужинця можеш вимагати повернення того, що в нього буде твого; братові ж своєму простиш борг, який він тобі винен.
Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:
Адже так серед тебе не буде нужденного, оскільки Господь, твій Бог, неодмінно поблагословить [1] тебе на землі, яку Господь, твій Бог, дає тобі в спадщину, щоб ти володів нею,
Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
якщо ти тільки справді будеш слухатися [2] голосу Господа, вашого Бога, щоб дотримуватися всіх цих заповідей, які я тобі сьогодні заповідаю, і виконувати їх.
For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
Адже Господь, твій Бог, поблагословив тебе, як Він і сказав тобі, — і ти даватимеш позики багатьом народам, а сам не братимеш позик; пануватимеш над багатьма народами, а над тобою не пануватимуть.
Generosity in Lending and Giving
If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

Якщо ж в одному з твоїх міст в землі, яку Господь, твій Бог, дає тобі, хтось із твоїх братів серед тебе буде нужденний, то не чини свого серця нечуйним і не замикай своєї руки перед своїм нужденним братом.
But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
Обов’язково відкрий [3] йому свої руки, неодмінно позич [4] йому, чого б він не потребував, відповідно до його потреби.
Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
Остерігайся, щоб у твоєму серці не з’явилася прихована думка, беззаконня, — мовляв, наближається сьомий рік, рік прощення, — і твоє око буде недобрим до твого нужденного брата, і ти не даси йому, а він заволає проти тебе до Господа, — і на тобі буде великий гріх.
Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
Обов’язково дай [5] йому і неодмінно позич [6] йому, чого б він не потребував. І коли даватимеш йому, не засмучуйся своїм серцем, бо Господь, твій Бог, поблагословить тебе за це в усіх твоїх ділах і в усьому, до чого ти прикладеш свою руку.
For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
Адже нужденний не переведеться на землі. Тому я тобі заповідаю виконувати це слово, кажучи: Обов’язково відкрий [7] свої руки своєму убогому і нужденному братові, який житиме на твоїй землі!
Release of Hebrew Servants
And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

Якщо ж твій брат, єврей чи єврейка, буде проданий тобі, то нехай він служить тобі шість років, а на сьомий відпустиш його від себе на волю.
And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
Коли ж відпускатимеш його від себе на волю, не відпускай його з нічим.
Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
Обов’язково споряди його припасами на дорогу [8] зі своїх овець, зі свого збіжжя та зі своєї виноградної давильні. Як Господь, твій Бог, поблагословив тебе, так даси йому.
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.
Згадай, що ти був рабом у Єгипетській землі, і Господь, твій Бог, визволив тебе звідти. Тому я заповідаю тобі виконувати це слово.
And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;
Якщо ж він скаже тобі: Не піду я від тебе (бо він полюбив тебе й твій дім, бо йому добре при тобі),
Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
то візьмеш шило й проколеш його вухо до дверей, — і він буде тобі рабом навіки. Так само вчиниш і зі своєю рабинею.
It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.
Хай для тебе не буде тягарем, коли вони будуть відпущені на волю, бо за шість років той раб відпрацював тобі річну платню наймита. І Господь, твій Бог, поблагословить тебе в усьому, що ти чинитимеш.
Firstborn Animals
All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.

Посвятиш Господу, своєму Богові, кожного самця-первістка, який народиться у твоєї великої та дрібної худоби. Не будеш запрягати до роботи свого теляти-первістка й не будеш стригти первістка зі своїх овець.
Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
Рік у рік ти й твоя сім’я споживатимете його перед Господом, своїм Богом, на місці, яке обере Господь, твій Бог.
And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.
Якщо ж у нього буде якась вада — кульгавість чи сліпота, або будь-яка інша погана вада, то не жертвуватимеш його Господу, своєму Богові.
Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.
З’їси його у своїх містах — нечистий серед вас та чистий однаково нехай їсть його, як сарну чи оленя.
