King James Bible

Darby Bible Translation

  • The Collection for the Saints

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
  • The Collection for the Saints

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the assemblies of Galatia, so do *ye* do also.
  • Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
  • On [the] first of [the] week let each of you put by at home, laying up [in] whatever [degree] he may have prospered, that there may be no collections when I come.
  • And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
  • And when I am arrived, whomsoever ye shall approve, these I will send with letters to carry your bounty to Jerusalem:
  • And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
  • and if it be suitable that *I* also should go, they shall go with me.
  • Paul's Plans for Travel

Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.
  • Paul's Plans for Travel

But I will come to you when I shall have gone through Macedonia; for I do go through Macedonia.
  • And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.
  • But perhaps I will stay with you, or even winter with you, that *ye* may set me forward wheresoever I may go.
  • For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.
  • For I will not see you now in passing, for I hope to remain a certain time with you, if the Lord permit.
  • But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.
  • But I remain in Ephesus until Pentecost.
  • For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
  • For a great door is opened to me and an effectual [one], and [the] adversaries many.
  • Timothy Commended

Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.
  • Timothy Commended

Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear; for he works the work of the Lord, even as I.
  • Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
  • Let not therefore any one despise him; but set him forward in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.
  • As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
  • Now concerning the brother Apollos, I begged him much that he would go to you with the brethren; but it was not at all [his] will to go now; but he will come when he shall have good opportunity.
  • Concluding Exhortations

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
  • Concluding Exhortations

Be vigilant; stand fast in the faith; quit yourselves like men; be strong.
  • Let all your things be done with charity.
  • Let all things ye do be done in love.
  • I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
  • But I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruits of Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the saints for service,)
  • That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
  • that *ye* should also be subject to such, and to every one joined in the work and labouring.
  • I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
  • But I rejoice in the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus; because *they* have supplied what was lacking on your part.
  • For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
  • For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: own therefore such.
  • Paul's Final Greetings

The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
  • Paul's Final Greetings

The assemblies of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla, with the assembly in their house, salute you much in [the] Lord.
  • All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.
  • All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.
  • The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.
  • The salutation of [me] Paul with my own hand.
  • If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
  • If any one love not the Lord [Jesus Christ] let him be Anathema Maranatha.
  • The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you.
  • My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

    { The first epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi by Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, and Timotheus. }
  • My love [be] with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
