A Sabbath-Rest for God's People

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Но еще не поздно, и обещание Бога о входе в Его покой остается в силе, и давайте поэтому будем очень внимательны, чтобы никто из вас не оказался недостигшим этого покоя.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Ведь нам так же, как и этим восставшим , была возвещена Радостная Весть, но им эта весть никакой пользы не принесла, потому что они не приняли ее верой.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Но мы, поверившие, входим в Его покой, так как Бог сказал:

«Поэтому Я поклялся в гневе Моем:
они не войдут в Мой покой!»29

Он сказал это, несмотря на то что Он уже закончил сотворение мира еще в самом начале.

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

В другом месте Он сказал о седьмом дне так: «На седьмой день Бог отдыхал от всех Своих дел».30

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

Но выше было сказано: «Они не войдут в Мой покой!»

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Так как некоторым еще остается войти в него, ну а те, кому Радостная Весть была возвещена прежде, не вошли по причине своего непослушания,

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

то Бог опять назначил определенный день, «сегодня», спустя долгое время провозгласив об этом через Давида, как уже было процитировано выше:

«Сегодня, если услышите Его голос,
то не ожесточайте ваших сердец».

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

Если бы имелся в виду тот покой, который им дал Иисус Навин , то Бог больше не говорил бы о каком-то другом дне после этого.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Поэтому субботний покой31 остается для народа Божьего.

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Кто входит в покой Божий, тот отдыхает от своих трудов точно так же, как и Бог от Своих.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Поэтому будем делать все возможное, чтобы нам войти в тот покой; чтобы никто не пал, последовав тому же примеру непослушания.

God's Word is Living and Active

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Ведь слово Божье живет и действует, оно острее, чем любой обоюдоострый меч и проникает в самые глубины нашей сущности, туда, где проходит граница между душой и духом, до суставов и костного мозга. Оно судит мысли и сердечные побуждения.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Ничто во всем творении не скрыто от Него. Перед Ним все обнажено, и глаза Его видят все. Ему мы дадим отчет.

Jesus the Great High Priest

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

У нас есть великий Первосвященник, прошедший небеса, — Иисус, Сын Божий. Поэтому давайте твердо держаться истины, которую мы и исповедуем.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Наш Первосвященник не из тех, кто не может сочувствовать нам в наших слабостях. Он был искушен во всем, как и мы, за исключением греха.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Поэтому давайте приблизимся смело к престолу благодати, чтобы получить милость и обрести благодать для своевременной помощи.
