Israel Rebuked at Bochim

And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.

Ангел Господень пришёл в город Бохим из города Галгала и передал народу Израиля слова Господа: "Я вывел вас из Египта и привёл вас в землю, которую обещал вашим предкам. Я сказал, что никогда не нарушу договора с вами.

And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?

А взамен вы никогда не должны вступать в соглашения с людьми, живущими на этой земле, и должны уничтожить их алтари. говорил вам это, но вы ослушались меня!

Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

И теперь Я говорю вам: Я не выгоню людей этих с вашей земли. Они станут для вас сетью, а их лжебоги будут для вас ловушкой".

And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

Когда Ангел передал людям Израиля слова Господа, они громко зарыдали.

And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the LORD.

И назвали они место, где плакали, Бохим, и принесли там Господу жертву.

The Death of Joshua

And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.

Иисус распустил народ, и каждая семья пошла на свою землю, чтобы жить там.

And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.

Народ Израиля служил Господу во времена, когда Иисус был жив. Они служили ему и после смерти Иисуса, во времена старейшин, которые были свидетелями всего великого, что Господь сделал для народа Израиля.

And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.

Слуга Господа Иисус, сын Навина, умер в возрасте ста десяти лет.

And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.

Народ Израиля похоронил его на его земле в Фамнаф-Сараи, в горной местности Ефремовой, на севере от горы Гааша.

And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

После смерти всего этого поколения выросло новое поколение, которое не знало Господа и всего великого, что Он сделал для народа Израиля.

Israel's Unfaithfulness

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:

Они стали делать зло и поклоняться лжебогу Ваалу, Господь видел всё это.

12

And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

Народ Израиля отвернулся от Господа, Бога их предков, который вывел их из Египта. Они стали поклоняться лжебогам окружавших их народов, и это разгневало Господа.

13

And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

13

Народ Израиля отказался следовать за Господом и стал поклоняться Ваалу и Астарте.

14

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

Господь был разгневан и дал врагу напасть на народ Израиля и разграбить их владения. Господь дал врагам разгромить их, и народ Израиля не смог устоять перед врагами.

15

Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.

Господь не был с народом Израиля, и поэтому, где бы они ни воевали, они всегда терпели поражение. Господь предупреждал народ Израиля, что они всегда будут терпеть поражение, если будут поклоняться богам народов, живущих вокруг них. И народ Израиля очень страдал.

Judges Raised Up

Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.

Затем Господь выбрал вождей, которых называли судьями. Судьи эти спасали народ Израиля от врагов, которые грабили их.

17

And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.

Но они и судей не слушали. Народ Израиля изменил Господу, следовал за другими богами и поклонялся им. В прошлом предки народа Израиля повиновались заповедям Господним, а теперь народ Израиля изменился и перестал повиноваться Господу.

18

And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.

Много раз враги нападали на Израиль, и народ его молил о помощи. И каждый раз Господь жалел этих людей и посылал судью спасти народ от врагов. Сам Господь был с этими судьями, и они всегда спасали народ Израиля.

19

And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way.

Но, когда судья умирал, народ опять начинал грешить ещё больше, чем его предки, служа и поклоняясь лжебогам. Народ Израиля был очень упрямым и не хотел отказаться от своего грешного пути.

20

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;

20

Господь рассердился на народ Израиля и сказал: "Этот народ нарушил соглашение, в которое Я вступил с его предками, и не слушает Меня.

21

I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:

21

Так не стану Я больше изгонять другие народы, давая дорогу Израилю. Когда Иисус умер, он оставил эти народы здесь, и Я позволю им остаться на этой земле.

22

That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.

22

Я использую их, чтобы испытать народ Израиля. Я посмотрю, сможет ли народ Израиля придерживаться пути, указанного Господом, по которому следовали их предки".

Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.

И Господь позволил этим народам остаться на той земле. Он не изгнал их оттуда и не дал армии Иисуса разбить их.
