Старейшины Иавеша сказали ему:
— Дай нам семь дней, чтобы мы могли послать вестников по всему Израилю. Если никто не придет, чтобы спасти нас, мы сдадимся тебе. -
І сказали йому мужі Явіса: Дай нам сім днів, і відішлемо посланців до всіх околиць Ізраїля, якщо не буде того, хто врятував би нас, прийдемо до вас.
