Hannah's Prayer of Thanksgiving

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

Анна сказала: "Возрадовалось сердце моё в Господе! Вознёсся рог мой в Боге моём! Я смеюсь над моими врагами. Я счастлива в своей победе!

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Нет Бога столь святого, как Господь. Кроме Тебя другого Бога нет! И нет твердыни, подобной Богу нашему.

3

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

Не продолжайте речей надменных! Не говорите дерзких слов! Ибо Господь — Бог, знающий всё. Он ведёт и судит народ.

4

The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

Луки сильных ломаются! И слабые становятся сильными!

They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

Кто раньше был сыт, работает, хлеб добывая. Кто раньше голодал, сейчас еды имеет вдоволь! Женщина, которая была бесплодна, сейчас имеет семеро детей! А многодетная изнемогает, потеряв своих детей.

The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

Господь даёт людям смерть и дарует жизнь, низвергает в преисподнюю и снова к жизни возводит.

The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

7

Господь делает нищим и приносит богатство, унижает и возвышает.

8

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

Господь из праха поднимает бедных. Он возвышает их до уровня вельмож, даёт в наследство славы им престол. Господь сотворил вселенную, и она принадлежит Ему!

9

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

Господь покровительствует святым Своим и не даёт им оступиться. Беззаконные же будут разбиты и исчезнут во тьме. Сила им не поможет.

10

The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Господь стирает с земли врагов Своих. Бог Всевышний с небес возгремит на них. Господь будет судить во всех концах земли, даст могущество Своему царю и избранному Им царю даст силу".

And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.

Елкана с семьёй пошёл домой в Раму, а мальчик остался в Силоме служить Господу при священнике Илии.

12

The Sins of Eli's Sons

Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

Сыновья Илия были люди плохие. Они не любили Господа.

13

And the priests' custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand;

Они не заботились о долге священника перед народом. Вот, что священники должны были делать: каждый раз, когда кто-то приносил жертву, священник должен был положить мясо в котёл с кипящей водой. Затем помощник священника приносил специальную вилку с тремя зубцами

14

And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither.

и этой вилкой доставал немного мяса из котла. Священник брал себе только то мясо, которое накололось на вилку. Так священники должны были поступать во время каждого жертвоприношения в Силоме.

15

Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.

Но сыновья Илия не делали этого. Даже прежде, чем сжигали жир на алтаре, слуги священника говорили людям, приносившим жертву: "Дай священнику мяса на жаркое. Священник не возьмёт у тебя варёного мяса, а только сырое".

16

And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.

И если люди, приносившие жертву, говорили: "Сожгите сначала жир, а потом можете брать себе всё, что хотите", то слуги священника отвечали: "Нет, дай нам мяса сейчас, а если не дашь, то мы силой возьмём его у тебя!"

17

Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.

Таким образом Офни и Финеес показывали своё непочтение к жертвоприношениям Господу, и это был великий грех!

18

But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

А Самуил служил Господу. Он был молодым помощником, который носил ефод.

19

Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

Каждый год мать Самуила шила ему малую верхнюю одежду и приносила её, когда приходила с мужем в Силом для приношения ежегодной жертвы.

20

And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.

И благословил Илий Елкана и жену его и сказал: "Пусть Господь даст тебе ещё детей от Анны, и они займут место мальчика, о котором молилась Анна, и которого ты отдал Господу". Елкана и Анна вернулись домой.

21

And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

Господь был добр к Анне, и она родила еще трёх сыновей и двух дочерей. А отрок Самуил рос возле Господа.

Eli Reproves his Sons

Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

22

Илий был очень стар. Он постоянно слышал о том, как поступают его сыновья со всеми израильтянами в Силоме. Он слышал и о том, что его сыновья спят с женщинами, которые собираются у входа в палату собрания.

23

And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.

23

Илий сказал сыновьям: "Я слышу от всего народа плохие речи о вас. Почему вы позволяете себе это?

24

Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD'S people to transgress.

Дети мои, не поступайте так. Плохая молва идёт о вас среди народа Господа.

25

If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

25

Если человек согрешит против другого человека, Бог может помочь ему. Но если человек согрешит против Господа, кто тогда сможет ему помочь?" Но сыновья Илия не хотели прислушаться к голосу своего отца. И Господь решил предать их смерти.

26

And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.

Отрок же Самуил продолжал расти и радовал Господа и людей.

27

A Prophecy against Eli's House

And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

27

И пришёл человек Божий к Илию и сказал ему: «Так говорит Господь: "Твои предки были рабами в семье фараона. Но Я тогда открылся дому твоего отца.

28

And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

Из всех израильских родов Я выбрал твой род. Я выбрал их Себе в священники, чтобы они приносили жертвы на Моём алтаре, чтобы жгли фимиам и носили ефод. Я давал твоей семье мясо от всех жертв, которые народ Израиля приносил Мне.

29

Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

Так почему же вы не чтите эти жертвы и приношения? Ты предпочитаешь Мне своих сыновей и жиреешь от лучших частей мяса, которое народ Израиля приносит Мне"».

30

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Затем человек Божий сказал: «Господь, Бог Израиля, обещал, что семья отца твоего вечно будет служить Ему. Но сейчас Господь говорит: "Этого никогда не будет! Я прославлю тех, кто прославляет Меня, но худо будет тому, кто отказывается Меня почитать.

31

Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

31

Наступит время, когда Я уничтожу всех твоих потомков, и никто в твоей семье не доживёт до старости.

32

And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.

32

Израиль будет процветать, но ты будешь видеть бедствия дома своего. Никто в твоей семье не доживёт до старости.

33

And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.

33

Лишь одного Я оставлю служить священником у Моего алтаря. Он доживёт до глубокой старости. Он будет жить, пока глаза его не ослепнут, и пока силы не оставят его. Все твои потомки умрут от меча.

34

And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

Я дам тебе знамение, которое покажет, что всё это совершится. Оба твои сына, Офни и Финеес, умрут в один день.

35

And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

35

Я выберу себе верного священника. Он будет прислушиваться ко Мне и поступать так, как Я захочу. Я сделаю его род сильным, и он вечно будет служить перед Моим помазанником.

36

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests' offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

36

И каждый оставшийся из твоей семьи, придёт кланяться этому священнику и будет умолять его дать ему немного денег или кусок хлеба." Он скажет: "Дай мне какую угодно работу священника, чтобы только мне иметь пропитание"».
