And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.

Then David said to him, “To whom do you belong, and where are you from?”
And he said, “I am a young man from Egypt, servant of an Amalekite; and my master left me behind, because three days ago I fell sick. -

Давид спросил его:
— Чей ты и откуда пришел?
Он ответил:
— Я египтянин, раб одного амаликитянина. Мой господин оставил меня, когда я заболел три дня назад. -
І сказав йому Давид: Звідки ти, і чий ти? А слуга-єгиптянин відповів: Я — раб чоловіка-амаликійця, і мій володар мене залишив, бо я захворів — сьогодні вже три дні.
