Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself odious to your father. The hands of all who are with you will also be strengthened.”

And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

And Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that you are abhorred by your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be strong.”

Ahithophel answered, “Sleep with your father’s concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself obnoxious to your father, and the hands of everyone with you will be more resolute.” -

Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left to keep the house, and all Israel will hear that you have made yourself a stench to your father, and the hands of all who are with you will be strengthened.” -
Ahithophel told him, “Go and sleep with your father’s concubines, for he has left them here to look after the palace. Then all Israel will know that you have insulted your father beyond hope of reconciliation, and they will throw their support to you.”

И сказал Ахитофел Авессалому: войди к наложницам отца твоего, которых он оставил охранять дом свой; и услышат все Израильтяне, что ты сделался ненавистным для отца твоего, и укрепятся руки всех, которые с тобою.

І відказує Ахитофел Абессаломові: Удайся до панотцевих наліжниць, що він зоставив тут стерегти палату; й почує про се Ізраїль, що зробився ти ненавидним панотцеві твойму, й всї твої прихильники наберуть духа. -
І сказав Ахіто́фел до Авесалома: „Прийди до наложниць свого батька, яких він позоставив стерегти дім. І коли почує ввесь Ізраїль, що став ти зненави́джений у свого батька, то зміцняться руки всім, хто з тобою“.

Ахитофел ответил:
— Спи с наложницами своего отца, которых он оставил присматривать за дворцом. Тогда весь Израиль услышит, что ты сделался ненавистным отцу, и руки всех, кто на твоей стороне, укрепятся. -
І промовив Ахітофел до Авесалома: Увійди до наложниць твого батька, які він залишив, щоб стерегли його дім, і весь Ізраїль почує, що ти засоромив твого батька, і зміцняться руки всіх, хто з тобою.
