Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel.” For the LORD had ordained to thwart the good counsel of Ahithophel, so that the LORD might bring calamity on Absalom.

And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.

So Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The advice of Hushai the Archite is better than the advice of Ahithophel.” For the Lord had purposed to defeat the good advice of Ahithophel, to the intent that the Lord might bring disaster on Absalom.

Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The advice of Hushai the Arkite is better than that of Ahithophel.” For the Lord had determined to frustrate the good advice of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom. -
Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “Hushai’s advice is better than Ahithophel’s.” For the LORD had determined to defeat the counsel of Ahithophel, which really was the better plan, so that he could bring disaster on Absalom!

И сказал Авессалом и весь Израиль: совет Хусия Архитянина лучше совета Ахитофелова. Так Господь судил разрушить лучший совет Ахитофела, чтобы навести Господу бедствие на Авессалома.

І промовив Абессалом і всї Ізрайлитяне: Рада Архійця Хусія крашча над Ахитофелеву раду. Так то Господь вдїяв, що впала лучша рада Ахитофелева, щоб навести біду на Абессалома. -
І сказав Авесалом та всі Ізраїлеві мужі: „Ліпша рада аркеянина Хушая від ради Ахітофелової!“ Бо це Господь наказав зламати добру Ахітофелову раду, щоб Господь приніс зло на Авесалома.

Авессалом и все израильтяне сказали:
— Совет аркитянина Хусия лучше совета Ахитофела.
Так Господь повелел расстроить хороший совет Ахитофела, чтобы навести беду на Авессалома. -
І сказав Авесалом і кожний чоловік Ізраїля: Добра порада Хусія, арахійця, краща, ніж порада Ахітофела. А Господь доручив знищити добру пораду Ахітофела, щоб Господь навів усе зло на Авесалома.
