So he arose and went to Zarephath, and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks; and he called to her and said, “Please get me a little water in a jar, that I may drink.”

И встал он и пошёл в Сарепту; и когда пришёл к воротам города, вот, там женщина вдова собирает дрова. И подозвал он её и сказал: дай мне немного воды в сосуде напиться.

Устав він та й подався в Сарепту; прийшов до воріт міста, аж ось удовиця збирає дрова. Покликав він її та й каже: «Дай мені, будь ласка, трохи води з глечика напитись.»

І рушив та й подавсь у Сарепту. І як прийшов до воріт города, аж ось вдовиця збірає собі тріски. І озветься до неї та й просить: Дай менї трохи води в глечик напитись. -
І він устав та й пішов до Саре́пти. І прибу́в він до входу міста, аж ось там збирає дро́ва одна вдова. І він кликнув до неї й сказав: Візьми мені трохи води до посу́дини, й я нап'ю́ся“.

И он пошел в Сарепту. Когда он подошел к воротам города, там была вдова, которая собирала дрова. Он позвал ее и сказал:
— Принеси мне в сосуде немного воды попить. -
І він устав, і прийшов у Сарепту, до брами міста, і ось там жінка-вдова збирала дрова. Тож Ілля гукнув їй услід, звертаючись до неї: Принеси мені трохи води в глечику, щоб напитися!
