He left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said, “Please let me kiss my father and my mother, then I will follow you.” And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?”

And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?

И оставил Елисей волов, и побежал за Илиею, и сказал: позволь мне поцеловать отца моего и мать мою, и я пойду за тобою. Он сказал ему: пойди и приходи назад, ибо что сделал я тебе?

Єлисей же, покинувши волів, побіг слідом за Іллею й сказав: «Дозволь мені поцілувати батька й матір, тоді піду за тобою.» Той відповів йому: «Іди і повертайся назад, бо що належало до мене, те я зробив тобі.»

Сей же, покинувши воли, пійшов слїдом за Ілиєю й сказав: Дай менї перш поцїлувати панотця мого й панїматку мою, тодї пійду за тобою. Він відказав йому: Йди й вертай назад, бо що належало до мене, те я вчинив тобі. -
І позоставив той волів, та й побіг за Іллею й сказав: „Нехай поцілую я батька свого́ та свою матір, — та й піду́ за тобою!“ А той відказав йому: „Іди, але вернися, бо що́ я зробив тобі?“

Тогда Елисей оставил волов и побежал за Илией.
— Позволь мне поцеловать на прощание отца и мать, — сказал он. — После этого я пойду с тобой.
— Иди, возвращайся. Я тебя не удерживаю, — ответил Илия. -
Елісей залишив волів, побіг за Іллею і сказав: Попрощаюся з моїм батьком і піду за тобою! Та Ілля сказав: Повернися, бо я тобі вчинив!
