“Behold, there is with you Shimei the son of Gera the Benjamite, of Bahurim; now it was he who cursed me with a violent curse on the day I went to Mahanaim. But when he came down to me at the Jordan, I swore to him by the LORD, saying, ‘I will not put you to death with the sword.’

And, behold, thou hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword.

“And see, you have with you Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite from Bahurim, who cursed me with a malicious curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim. But he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by the Lord, saying, ‘I will not put you to death with the sword.’

“And remember Shimei son of Gera, the man from Bahurim in Benjamin. He cursed me with a terrible curse as I was fleeing to Mahanaim. When he came down to meet me at the Jordan River, I swore by the LORD that I would not kill him.

Вот, ещё у тебя Семей, сын Геры Вениамитянина из Бахурима; он злословил меня тяжким злословием, когда я шёл в Маханаим; но он вышел навстречу мне у Иордана, и я поклялся ему Господом, говоря: «я не умерщвлю тебя мечом».

Є там при тобі Семей, син Гери, з роду Веніямина з Бахуріму; цей тяжко мене проклинав, як ішов я у Маханаїм, але тому, що він вийшов мені назустріч на Йордан, я заприсяг йому Господом, кажучи: Я не зітну тебе. —

А ось з тобою Шім'ї, Ґерин син, веніяминівець із Бахуріму. А він прокля́в був мене гострим прокля́ттям того дня, коли я йшов до Маханаїму. Та він прийшов до Йорда́ну стрі́нути мене, і я присягнув йому Господом, говорячи: Не заб'ю тебе мечем!

Еще у тебя есть Шимей, сын Геры, вениамитянин из Бахурима. Он осыпал меня страшными проклятиями в день, когда я шел в Маханаим. Когда он вышел встречать меня к Иордану, я поклялся ему Господом: «Я не предам тебя мечу».

І ось з тобою Семеї, син Ґири, нащадок Веніаміна з Вауріма, — він прокляв мене болючим прокляттям у день, коли я подався в Табори. Та коли він вийшов назустріч мені до Йордану, я поклявся йому в Господі, кажучи: Не вб’ю тебе мечем!
