So they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The nations whom you have carried away into exile in the cities of Samaria do not know the custom of the god of the land; so he has sent lions among them, and behold, they kill them because they do not know the custom of the god of the land.”

Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.

So they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The nations whom you have removed and placed in the cities of Samaria do not know the rituals of the God of the land; therefore He has sent lions among them, and indeed, they are killing them because they do not know the rituals of the God of the land.”

It was reported to the king of Assyria: “The people you deported and resettled in the towns of Samaria do not know what the god of that country requires. He has sent lions among them, which are killing them off, because the people do not know what he requires.” -

So the king of Assyria was told, “The nations that you have carried away and placed in the cities of Samaria do not know the law of the god of the land. Therefore he has sent lions among them, and behold, they are killing them, because they do not know the law of the god of the land.” -
So a message was sent to the king of Assyria: “The people you have sent to live in the towns of Samaria do not know the religious customs of the God of the land. He has sent lions among them to destroy them because they have not worshiped him correctly.”

И донесли царю Ассирийскому, и сказали: народы, которых ты переселил и поселил в городах Самарийских, не знают закона Бога той земли, и за то Он посылает на них львов, и вот, они умерщвляют их, потому что они не знают закона Бога той земли.

І дано знати асирійському цареві: “Ті народи, що ти переслав і осадив по самарійських містах, не знають закону тамтешнього Бога, тому й наслав він на них левів, що їх вигублюють, бо вони не знають закону тамтешнього Бога.”

І дано знати цареві Ассирийському й сказано: Ті поселяне, що повиводив єси та й оселив по городах Самарийських, не знають закону тамошнього Бога, тим він наслав леви на них, а сї гублять їх, бо вони не знають хвали Бога тієї землї. -
І сказали вони до асирійського царя, говорячи: „Ті люди, яких ти вигнав та осели́в по містах Самарії, не знають прав Бога цього Кра́ю, і Він послав на них оцих левів, і ось вони нищать їх, бо вони не знають права Бога цього Кра́ю“.

Об этом доложили царю Ассирии:
— Народы, которые ты увел и переселил в города Самарии, не знают, чего требует Бог той страны. Он насылает на них львов, которые истребляют их, потому что они не знают, чего требует Бог той страны. -
І вони сказали цареві ассирійців, говорячи: Народи, які ти відселив і замінив у містах Самарії, не пізнали суду Бога тієї землі, і Він послав на них левів, і ось їх убивають, оскільки не знають суду Бога землі.
