Idols Are Destroyed
Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, broke the pillars in pieces, cut down the Asherim and pulled down the high places and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the sons of Israel returned to their cities, each to his possession.
Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, broke the pillars in pieces, cut down the Asherim and pulled down the high places and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the sons of Israel returned to their cities, each to his possession.
А коли це все скінчи́лося, вийшов увесь Ізраїль, що знахо́дився там, до Юдиних міст, і полама́ли стовпи́ для божків, і постина́ли посвячені дере́ва, і порозбивали па́гірки та же́ртівники в усьому Юді й Веніямині, і в Єфремі та Манасії аж до кінця. Пото́му верну́лися всі Ізра́їлеві сини, кожен до своєї посілости, до своїх міст.
And Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites by their divisions, each according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister and to give thanks and to praise in the gates of the camp of the LORD.
І Єзекі́я поставив че́рги священиків та Левитів за їхніми ві́дділами, кожного за його слу́женням, зо священиків та з Левитів, на цілопа́лення, і на мирні жертви, — на слу́ження й на подяку, і на хвалу в брамах Господніх таборів.
Reforms Continued
He also appointed the king’s portion of his goods for the burnt offerings, namely, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths and for the new moons and for the fixed festivals, as it is written in the law of the LORD.
А царева частка зо здобу́тку його приділена була на цілопа́лення: на цілопалення ранішні та вечірні, і на цілопалення на суботи й на молодики́ та на свята, як написано в Зако́ні Господньому.
Also he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion due to the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the law of the LORD.
І наказа́в він наро́дові, ме́шканцям Єрусалиму, давати частку священичу та левитську, щоб вони були ревними в Зако́ні Господньому.
As soon as the order spread, the sons of Israel provided in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, oil, honey and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of all.
А як поши́рився той нака́з, поназно́сили Ізраїлеві сини багато первопло́дів збіжжя, виноградного соку, і ново́ї оливи, і меду, і всякого полевого врожа́ю; і як десятину того всього багато поназно́сили.
The sons of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of sacred gifts which were consecrated to the LORD their God, and placed them in heaps.
А Ізраїлеві та Юдині сини, що сиділи по Юдиних містах, також вони поприно́сили десятину худоби великої та худоби дрібно́ї, і десятину святих рече́й, посвя́чених Господе́ві, їхньому Богові, і понадава́ли того багато куп.
In the third month they began to make the heaps, and finished them by the seventh month.
Третього місяця зачали́ складати ті купи, а місяця сьомого закінчи́ли.
When Hezekiah and the rulers came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.
І прийшли Єзекія та зверхники, і побачили ті купи, — і поблагослови́ли Господа та наро́д Його, Ізраїля.
Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.
І виві́дував Єзекія священиків та Левитів про ті купи.
Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok said to him, “Since the contributions began to be brought into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat with plenty left over, for the LORD has blessed His people, and this great quantity is left over.”
І говорив до нього священик Азарія, голова Садокового дому, і сказав: „Відко́ли зачали́ прино́сити прино́шення до Господнього дому, ми їли й були ситі, і багато позоста́лося, бо Господь поблагословив наро́д Свій. А з останків скла́дено оцю многоту́.
Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in the house of the LORD, and they prepared them.
Тоді Єзекія наказав пригото́вити комо́ри в Господньому домі, — і пригото́вили.
They faithfully brought in the contributions and the tithes and the consecrated things; and Conaniah the Levite was the officer in charge of them and his brother Shimei was second.
І вірно перене́сли туди прино́шення, і десятину, і святощі, а над ними володарем був Левит Конанія, а брат його Шім'ї — дру́гим.
Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath and Benaiah were overseers under the authority of Conaniah and Shimei his brother by the appointment of King Hezekiah, and Azariah was the chief officer of the house of God.
А Єхіїл, і Азазія, і Нахат, і Асагел, і Єрімот, і Йозавад, і Еліїл, і Їсмахія, і Махат, і Беная були урядо́вцями під рукою Конанії та брата його Шім'ї, призна́чені царем та Азарієм, володарем при Божому домі.
Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the eastern gate, was over the freewill offerings of God, to apportion the contributions for the LORD and the most holy things.
А Коре, син Їмни, Левит, придве́рний зо схі́днього боку, був над добровільними жертвами Богові, щоб видавати Господні приношення та речі найсвятіші.
Under his authority were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah and Shecaniah in the cities of the priests, to distribute faithfully their portions to their brothers by divisions, whether great or small,
А при ньому були: Еден, і Мін'ямін, і Єшуа, і Шемая, Амарія, і Шеханія по священичих містах, щоб вірно роздавати їхнім братам за че́ргами, як великому, так і мало́му,
without regard to their genealogical enrollment, to the males from thirty years old and upward — everyone who entered the house of the LORD for his daily obligations — for their work in their duties according to their divisions;
окрім їхніх позапи́суваних: для мужчин від віку трьох літ і вище, для кожного, хто прихо́див до Господнього дому на щоденне ді́ло, на їхнє слу́ження, за їхніми сторо́жами та за їхніми че́ргами,
as well as the priests who were enrolled genealogically according to their fathers’ households, and the Levites from twenty years old and upwards, by their duties and their divisions.
і приписаним священикам до дому їхніх батьків, та Левитам — від віку двадцяти літ і вище, у сторо́жах їхніх та в че́ргах їхніх,
The genealogical enrollment included all their little children, their wives, their sons and their daughters, for the whole assembly, for they consecrated themselves faithfully in holiness.
і їхнім припи́саним з усіма́ їхніми ді́тьми, їхніми жінка́ми, і їхніми синами, і їхніми до́чками, для всього збору, бо вони в вірності своїй посвящаються на святість.
Also for the sons of Aaron the priests who were in the pasture lands of their cities, or in each and every city, there were men who were designated by name to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone genealogically enrolled among the Levites.
А синам священика Ааро́на, на поля́х пасови́ська їхніх міст, у кожному місті поставлені були мужі, що зазначені поіме́нно, щоб давати частки кожному мужчи́ні серед священиків та всякому приписаному серед Левитів.
Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah; and he did what was good, right and true before the LORD his God.
І зробив Єзекія так, як це, по всій Юдеї. І робив він добре й угодне та справедливе перед лицем Господа, Бога свого.
Every work which he began in the service of the house of God in law and in commandment, seeking his God, he did with all his heart and prospered.
І в усякому ді́лі, яке він зачинав, — у роботі Божого дому, і в Зако́ні, і в заповіді, щоб звертатися до Бога свого, робив він усім своїм серцем, і мав успіх.
