My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?
Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.

O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer;
And by night, but I have no rest.

Боже мій! Кличу в день, а ти не озвешся, і вночі, та й нема менї впокою.

Yet You are holy,
O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.

Ти ж сьвятий живеш, прославлений від Ізраїля.

4

In You our fathers trusted;
They trusted and You delivered them.

На тебе вповали батьки наші; вони вповали, і ти заступив їх.

5

To You they cried out and were delivered;
In You they trusted and were not disappointed.

До тебе кликали вони, і спаслися; на тебе вповали, і не посоромлено їх.

6

But I am a worm and not a man,
A reproach of men and despised by the people.

Але ж я червяк, не чоловік, людям посьміховиско і народові погорда.

All who see me sneer at me;
They separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying,

Всї, що дивляться на мене, кепкують; щирять зуби, покивуючи головами.

“Commit yourself to the LORD; let Him deliver him;
Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”

Він вповає на Господа! Нехай же спасе його та визволить, коли він вподобав його.

9

Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb;
You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.

Ти бо визволив мене з лона матері, і при грудях матері моєї дав менї спочивати.

10

Upon You I was cast from birth;
You have been my God from my mother’s womb.

Для тебе я призначений, як тілько вродився; від матернього лона почавши, ти єси Бог мій.

11

Be not far from me, for trouble is near;
For there is none to help.

Не відступай далеко від мене! Бо нещастє близько, а нема заступника в мене.

12

Many bulls have surrounded me;
Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

Обгорнула мене дика гущавина; бугаї Базанські обступили мене.

13

They open wide their mouth at me,
As a ravening and a roaring lion.

Роззявили ротища свої, як лев рикаючий, що здобич шматує.

14

I am poured out like water,
And all my bones are out of joint;
My heart is like wax;
It is melted within me.

14

І став я, як вода розлита, всї сустави мої розвязались; серце моє, як той віск, у внутрі моїм розтопилось.

15

My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
And my tongue cleaves to my jaws;
And You lay me in the dust of death.

Сила моя висохла, мов череповина, і язик мій присох до піднебіння; ти кинув мене між порохи смертні.

16

For dogs have surrounded me;
A band of evildoers has encompassed me;
They pierced my hands and my feet.

Бо собаки обсїли мене, голота злюків облягла мене; перекопали руки і ноги мої;

17

I can count all my bones.
They look, they stare at me;

17

Всї ребра мої міг би я полїчити; вони дивляться на мене, і не надивляться;

18

They divide my garments among them,
And for my clothing they cast lots.

18

Вони розпаювали між себе одїж мою, і на кожну одежину кидали жереб.

19

But You, O LORD, be not far off;
O You my help, hasten to my assistance.

19

Але ти, Господи, зостанься не далеко! моя сило, прийди менї в поміч!

20

Deliver my soul from the sword,
My only life from the power of the dog.

20

Сохрани від меча душу мою вбогу, від лаб собачих;

21

Save me from the lion’s mouth;
From the horns of the wild oxen You answer me.

Спаси мене із пельки львиної! Так, ти вислухав мене, почувши буйволові роги.

22

I will tell of Your name to my brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.

22

Звіщати му імя твоє братам моїм; хвалити му тебе серед громади.

23

You who fear the LORD, praise Him;
All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him,
And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.

23

Ви, що боїтесь Господа, вихваляйте його; всї роди Якова, прославляйте його, і майте страх перед ним, всї поколїння Ізраїлеві!

24

For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
Nor has He hidden His face from him;
But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.

24

Він бо не мерзиться і не гордує бідним у злиднях, і не одвертає лиця свого від него; і молитву його він вислухає.

25

From You comes my praise in the great assembly;
I shall pay my vows before those who fear Him.

25

Від тебе хвала моя у великому зборі; обітницї мої сповню перед тими, що бояться його.

26

The afflicted will eat and be satisfied;
Those who seek Him will praise the LORD.
Let your heart live forever!

Покірні їстимуть і наситяться; хвалити муть Господа ті, що його шукають, серце ваше жити ме по віки.

27

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD,
And all the families of the nations will worship before You.

27

Схаменуться і навернуться до Господа всї кінцї землї; і перед тобою поклоняться всї поколїння народів.

28

For the kingdom is the LORD’S
And He rules over the nations.

28

Бо Господнє є царство, і він царює над народами.

29

All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship,
All those who go down to the dust will bow before Him,
Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

29

Живляться і падають ниць всї тучні землї; перед ним поклоняться всї, що в порох повертаються, і хто не вдержить душі своєї живою.

30

Posterity will serve Him;
It will be told of the Lord to the coming generation.

30

Одно насїннє буде служити йому; буде залїчене Господеві, як рід.

31

They will come and will declare His righteousness
To a people who will be born, that He has performed it.

31

Вони прийдуть і звістять людям, що народяться, правоту його, що так устроїв.
