New Living Translation

  • O God, hasten to deliver me;
    O LORD, hasten to my help!
  • For the choir director: A psalm of David, asking God to remember him.

    Please, God, rescue me!
    Come quickly, LORD, and help me.
  • Let those be ashamed and humiliated
    Who seek my life;
    Let those be turned back and dishonored
    Who delight in my hurt.
  • May those who try to kill me
    be humiliated and put to shame.
    May those who take delight in my trouble
    be turned back in disgrace.
  • Let those be turned back because of their shame
    Who say, “Aha, aha!”
  • Let them be horrified by their shame,
    for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”
  • Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
    And let those who love Your salvation say continually,
    “Let God be magnified.”
  • But may all who search for you
    be filled with joy and gladness in you.
    May those who love your salvation
    repeatedly shout, “God is great!”
  • But I am afflicted and needy;
    Hasten to me, O God!
    You are my help and my deliverer;
    O LORD, do not delay.
  • But as for me, I am poor and needy;
    please hurry to my aid, O God.
    You are my helper and my savior;
    O LORD, do not delay.
