  • The Skilled Craftsmen

    Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

    The Lord said to Moses,
  • “See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
  • “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
  • “I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,
  • and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship,
  • to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze,
  • to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,
  • and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

  • The Sign of the Sabbath

    The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  • The Sabbath

    And the Lord said to Moses,
  • “But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
  • “You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, ‘Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you.
  • ‘Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
  • You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
  • ‘For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.
  • Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death.
  • ‘So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.’

  • “It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.”
  • It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”
  • When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.
