Thus I considered all my activities which my hands had done and the labor which I had exerted, and behold all was vanity and striving after wind and there was no profit under the sun.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done
And on the labor in which I had toiled;
And indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind.
There was no profit under the sun. -

and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;

Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun. -
But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless — like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere.

И оглянулся я на все дела мои, которые сделали руки мои, и на труд, которым трудился я, делая их: и вот, всё — суета и томление духа, и нет от них пользы под солнцем!

Тоді я глянув на всі діла, що руки мої вчинили, і на той труд, що ним я трудився; і ось: геть усе — марнота й гонитва за вітром, і ніякої з того користи під сонцем.

Та як поглянув я на все, що мої руки зробили й скільки завдавав я собі клопоту, працюючи, — бачу, що все воно марне, тільки мучить дух, і нїякої з того користї під сонцем. -
Та коли́ я зверну́вся до всіх своїх чи́нів, що їх поробили були́ мої ру́ки, і до тру́ду, що я потрудився був, ро́блячи, — й ось усе це марно́та та ло́влення вітру, і немає під сонцем нічого кори́сного!

Но когда я посмотрел на все, что сделали мои руки,
и на тот труд, что я совершил,
я увидел, что все суета, все — погоня за ветром,
и ни в чем нет пользы под солнцем. -
Я поглянув на всі мої творіння, які зробили мої руки, і на труд, яким я попрацював, аби зробити, і ось усе марнота і бажання духа, і немає користі під сонцем.
