For there is no lasting remembrance of the wise man as with the fool, inasmuch as in the coming days all will be forgotten. And how the wise man and the fool alike die!

For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.

For there is no more remembrance of the wise than of the fool forever,
Since all that now is will be forgotten in the days to come.
And how does a wise man die?
As the fool! -

потому что мудрого не будут помнить вечно, как и глупого; в грядущие дни всё будет забыто, и увы! мудрый умирает наравне с глупым.

бо ні про мудрого, ні про дурного нема згадки повіки, а вже в найближчій будучині все буде забуте. І як мудрий, так само й дурний умирає!

Не лишається пам'яти про мудрого, як і про нерозумного, на вічні віки́, — в днях насту́пних зовсім все забу́деться, і мудрий вмирає так са́мо, як і нерозумний.

Потому что мудрого, также как и глупого,
не будут помнить вечно;
придет время — забудут обоих.
Мудрый умирает, как и глупый! -
Адже немає пам’яті мудрого з безумним навіки, оскільки вже в днях, що приходять, усе буде забуте. Яким чином мудрий помирає з безумним?
