The Evils of Oppression
Then I looked again at all the acts of oppression which were being done under the sun. And behold I saw the tears of the oppressed and that they had no one to comfort them; and on the side of their oppressors was power, but they had no one to comfort them.

So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter. -

Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun:
I saw the tears of the oppressed —

power was on the side of their oppressors —

Evil Under the Sun
Again I saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun. And behold, the tears of the oppressed, and they had no one to comfort them! On the side of their oppressors there was power, and there was no one to comfort them. -
Again, I observed all the oppression that takes place under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, with no one to comfort them. The oppressors have great power, and their victims are helpless.

И обратился я и увидел всякие угнетения, какие делаются под солнцем: и вот слёзы угнетённых, а утешителя у них нет; и в руке угнетающих их — сила, а утешителя у них нет.

І знов побачив я всі утиски, що кояться під сонцем: пригноблені в сльозах, а утішителя немає; від рук гнобителів — насильство, а втішника немає.

І знов я побачив всі у́тиски, що чинились під сонцем, — і сльоза́ ось ути́скуваних, та немає для них потіши́теля, і наси́лля з руки, що їх гно́блять, і немає для них потіши́теля.

И вновь посмотрел я и увидел все те угнетения, которые делаются под солнцем:
я видел слезы угнетенных,
но у них нет утешителя;
сила на стороне их угнетателей,
а у них нет утешителя. -
Я ж повернувся і побачив усі пригноблення, що сталися під сонцем. І ось сльоза пригноблених, і немає в них потішника, і в руках їхніх гнобителів — сила, і немає в них потішника.

И опять я увидел, что со многими обходятся несправедливо, я видел их слезы, и не было никого, кто мог бы их утешить. Я видел, что вся власть у жестоких, и нет никого, кто бы мог успокоить обиженных.
