“Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘This is what the LORD has commanded, saying,
Промов до Аарона, до його синів та до всіх синів Ізраїля і скажи їм: Ось що звелів Господь, мовлячи:
“Any man from the house of Israel who slaughters an ox or a lamb or a goat in the camp, or who slaughters it outside the camp,
Якщо якийсь чоловік [1] з ізраїльських синів заріже теля, вівцю чи козу в таборі, чи то заріже їх поза табором,
and has not brought it to the doorway of the tent of meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD, bloodguiltiness is to be reckoned to that man. He has shed blood and that man shall be cut off from among his people.
а не приведе до входу в намет свідчення, щоб принести їх у всепалення або в [жертву] спасіння Господу, щоб були прийнятні на приємні пахощі, чи заріже їх поза його межами й не приведе до входу в намет свідчення, щоб принести в дар Господу перед Господнім наметом, — то тому чоловікові буде зараховано кровопролиття; він пролив кров, — тож нехай та душа буде вигублена зі свого народу.
“The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to the LORD, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to the LORD.
Це — щоб ізраїльські сини приносили свої жертви, які вони різатимуть у полях, — вони приноситимуть їх Господу до входу в намет свідчення, до священика, і жертвуватимуть їх Господу як жертву спасіння.
“The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the LORD at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and offer up the fat in smoke as a soothing aroma to the LORD.
А священик нехай виллє кров довкола на жертовник перед Господом, при вході в намет свідчення, і принесе жир на приємні пахощі Господу.
“They shall no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat demons with which they play the harlot. This shall be a permanent statute to them throughout their generations.”’
І хай вони більше не приносять своїх жертв марним ідолам, йдучи слідом за якими, вони чинять розпусту. Це буде вам вічним законом для ваших поколінь.
“Then you shall say to them, ‘Any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,
Далі скажеш їм: Кожна людина [2] з ізраїльських синів чи із синів захожих, що проживають серед вас, яка звершуватиме всепалення чи жертву,
and does not bring it to the doorway of the tent of meeting to offer it to the LORD, that man also shall be cut off from his people.

‘And any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.
Кожна людина з ізраїльських синів чи з-поміж захожих, що проживають серед вас, яка вживатиме в їжу якусь кров, — Я зверну Своє обличчя проти такої душі, що вживає в їжу кров, і вигублю її з-посеред її народу.
‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’
Бо душа кожного тіла — це його кров, — тож Я дав її вам, щоб на жертовнику звершувати викуплення за ваші душі. Бо його кров є викупленням за душу.
“Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘No person among you may eat blood, nor may any alien who sojourns among you eat blood.’
Через це Я сказав ізраїльським синам: Жодна душа з-поміж вас хай не вживає в їжу кров, і захожий, який проживає серед вас, також хай не вживає в їжу кров.
“So when any man from the sons of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, in hunting catches a beast or a bird which may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
Кожна людина з ізраїльських синів чи з-поміж захожих, що проживають серед вас, яка вполює дичину, — звіра або птаха, який їсться, — нехай випустить з нього кров і засипле її землею.
“For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’
Бо душа кожного тіла — це його кров. Тому Я сказав ізраїльським синам: Не вживайте в їжу кров з ніякого тіла, бо душа кожного тіла — це його кров. Кожний, хто її споживає, буде вигублений.
“When any person eats an animal which dies or is torn by beasts, whether he is a native or an alien, he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and remain unclean until evening; then he will become clean.
Кожна душа з корінних жителів чи із захожих, яка їстиме мертвечину чи здобич хижака, нехай випере свій одяг і помиється водою, — і до вечора буде нечистою, а тоді стане чистою.
