“Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people saying,
Поговори с Зоровавелем, сыном Салафииля, правителем Иудеи, и с Иисусом, сыном Иоседека, верховным священником, а также с народом, и скажи им вот что:
‘Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison?
"Кто из вас видел этот храм в его прошлом величии? Сравниваете ли вы его с великолепным храмом, который был разрушен? И не думаете ли, что этот храм во всём уступает прежнему?
‘But now take courage, Zerubbabel,’ declares the LORD, ‘take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage,’ declares the LORD, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ declares the LORD of hosts.
Но сейчас ободрись, Зоровавель, ибо Господь говорит: "Не унывай!". И ты тоже, верховный священник Иисус, сын Иоседека: "Не унывай!". Ободрись весь народ земли, — говорит Господь, — и начинайте работать, ибо Я с вами". Так сказал Господь Всемогущий.
‘As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!’
Господь Всемогущий сказал: "Я вступил с вами в соглашение, когда вы вышли из Египта. Я сдержал Своё обещание! И Дух Мой с вами, так что не бойтесь!"
“For thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land.
Вот что говорит Господь Всемогущий: "Через некоторое время Я снова потрясу небо и землю, море и сушу.
‘I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts.
Я потрясу народы и они придут к вам с сокровищами из каждой страны. И тогда Я наполню этот храм величием. Так говорит Господь Всемогущий!
‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the LORD of hosts.
Всё их серебро и золото принадлежит Мне! Так говорит Господь Всемогущий.
‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.”
Слава этого храма превысит славу храма прежнего! А сюда принесу Я мир. Помните, что так сказал Господь Всемогущий!"
On the twenty-fourth of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to Haggai the prophet, saying,
В двадцать четвёртый день девятого месяца, во второй год царствования персидского царя Дария, к пророку Аггею было слово Господа:
“Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Ask now the priests for a ruling:
"Всемогущий Господь приказывает тебе спросить священников, что закон говорит вот о чём:
‘If a man carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and touches bread with this fold, or cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will it become holy?’” And the priests answered, “No.”
Если человек нёс освящённое мясо в поле своей одежды и прикоснулся к хлебу или к варёной пище, вину или маслу, сделается ли всё это священным?" И священники ответили: "Нет".
Then Haggai said, “If one who is unclean from a corpse touches any of these, will the latter become unclean?” And the priests answered, “It will become unclean.”
Тогда Аггей сказал: "Если человек прикоснётся к мёртвому телу, он становится осквернённым. А если он дотронется до чего другого, станет ли то нечистым?" "Да, — ответили священники, — оно будет нечистым".
Then Haggai said, “ ‘So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,’ declares the LORD, ‘and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.
И сказал тогда Аггей: "Господь Бог говорит вот что: "И такова правда об этом народе! Они не были чисты и непорочны предо Мною, и всё, чего касались их руки, становилось осквернённым!
‘But now, do consider from this day onward: before one stone was placed on another in the temple of the LORD,
Вспомните о том, что происходило раньше, до того времени, когда вы начали строить храм Господа.
from that time when one came to a grain heap of twenty measures, there would be only ten; and when one came to the wine vat to draw fifty measures, there would be only twenty.
Люди приходили, чтобы получить 20 мер зерна, а в копне находили только 10 мер. Им нужно было 50 кувшинов вина, а в чанах хватало вина только на 20.
‘I smote you and every work of your hands with blasting wind, mildew and hail; yet you did not come back to Me,’ declares the LORD.
Я карал вас, посылая болезни и губя ваши растения. Я посылал град, который разрушал труд ваших рук. И даже после всего этого вы не пришли ко Мне!" Так сказал Господь".
‘Do consider from this day onward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month; from the day when the temple of the LORD was founded, consider:
Господь сказал: "Сегодня двадцать четвёртый день девятого месяца и вы закончили закладывать фундамент для храма Господа. И вот что случится с этого дня и дальше.
‘Is the seed still in the barn? Even including the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree, it has not borne fruit. Yet from this day on I will bless you.’”
Есть ли зерно в ваших амбарах? Посмотрите на виноградники, на фиговые, гранатовые и оливковые деревья. Дают ли они плоды? Нет! Но с сегодняшнего дня Я благословляю вас. "
Then the word of the LORD came a second time to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying,
И было слово Господа к Аггею ещё раз, на двадцать четвёртый день месяца:
“Speak to Zerubbabel governor of Judah, saying, ‘I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.
"Иди к Зоровавелю, правителю Иудеи, и скажи ему, что Я сотрясу небо и землю.
‘I will overthrow the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the power of the kingdoms of the nations; and I will overthrow the chariots and their riders, and the horses and their riders will go down, everyone by the sword of another.’
Я свергну многих царей и уничтожу власть многих языческих царств, разрушу колесницы и воинов в них. Низвергнуты будут их кони и всадники. Сейчас их армии дружественны, но пойдут они друг против друга и мечом убьют один другого.
‘On that day,’ declares the LORD of hosts, ‘I will take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, My servant,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you,’” declares the LORD of hosts.
Господь Всемогущий говорит это. Зоровавель, сын Салафииля, раб Мой, Я избрал тебя, и ты будешь Моим кольцом с печаткой. Ты будешь доказательством того, что Я совершил всё это!" Так сказал Господь Всемогущий.
