The LORD spoke further to Moses, saying,
The LORD spoke further to Moses, saying,
І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:
“Make yourself two trumpets of silver, of hammered work you shall make them; and you shall use them for summoning the congregation and for having the camps set out.
„Зроби собі дві срібні сурмі́, — куттям зробиш їх; і будуть вони тобі на скли́кання громади та на руша́ння табо́рів.
“When both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the doorway of the tent of meeting.
І засурмля́ть у них, — і збереться до тебе громада при вході скинії зборів.
“Yet if only one is blown, then the leaders, the heads of the divisions of Israel, shall assemble before you.
А якщо засурмлять в одну, то зберуться до тебе начальники, го́лови Ізраїлевих тисяч.
“But when you blow an alarm, the camps that are pitched on the east side shall set out.
А засурмлять на споло́х, то ру́шать табо́ри, що табору́ють на сході.
“When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are pitched on the south side shall set out; an alarm is to be blown for them to set out.
А засурмите́ на споло́х удру́ге, то ру́шать табо́ри, що табору́ють на пі́вдні, — будуть сурмити на споло́х, щоб руша́ли вони.
“When convening the assembly, however, you shall blow without sounding an alarm.
А на скли́кання зборів засурмите, але без сполоху.
“The priestly sons of Aaron, moreover, shall blow the trumpets; and this shall be for you a perpetual statute throughout your generations.
А сурми́ти в су́рми бу́дуть Ааронові сини, священики. І ці су́рмлення будуть для вас на вічну постанову для ваших поколінь.
“When you go to war in your land against the adversary who attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and be saved from your enemies.
А коли пі́дете війною в вашому Кра́ю́ на ворога, що гно́бить вас, і засурмите́ на сполох, то ви бу́дете згадані перед лицем Господа, Бога вашого, — і будете спасені від ваших ворогів.
“Also in the day of your gladness and in your appointed feasts, and on the first days of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be as a reminder of you before your God. I am the LORD your God.”
А в день вашої радости, і в ваші свята та першого дня ваших місяців засурмите́ в ті су́рми на ваших цілопа́леннях та на мирних жертвах ваших, — і вони будуть вам на при́гад перед лицем вашого Бога. Я — Господь, Бог ваш!“
The Tribes Leave Sinai
Now in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth of the month, the cloud was lifted from over the tabernacle of the testimony;
І сталося, другого року, другого місяця, дванадцятого дня місяця підняла́ся хмара з-над скинії свідо́цтва.
and the sons of Israel set out on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai. Then the cloud settled down in the wilderness of Paran.
I рушили Ізраїлеві сини з Сінайської пустині на похо́ди свої, і хмара спинилася в пустині Паран.
So they moved out for the first time according to the commandment of the LORD through Moses.
І рушили вони вперше за Господнім нака́зом через Мойсея.
The standard of the camp of the sons of Judah, according to their armies, set out first, with Nahshon the son of Amminadab, over its army,
І найперш рушив пра́пор табо́ру синів Юдиних за своїми військо́вими відділами, а над військом його — Нахшон, син Аммінадавів.
and Nethanel the son of Zuar, over the tribal army of the sons of Issachar;
А над ві́йськом пле́мени синів Іссахара — Натанаїл, син Цуарів.
and Eliab the son of Helon over the tribal army of the sons of Zebulun.
А над військом племени Завулонових синів — Еліяв, син Хелонів.
Then the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who were carrying the tabernacle, set out.
І була розібрана скинія, і рушили Ґершонові сини та сини Мерарієві, носії́ скинії.
Next the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies, set out with Elizur the son of Shedeur, over its army,
І рушив пра́пор табо́ру Рувима за своїми військо́вими відділами, а над військом його — Еліцур, син Шедеурів.
and Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai over the tribal army of the sons of Simeon,
А над військом племени Симеонових синів — Шелуміїл, син Цурішаддаїв.
and Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the tribal army of the sons of Gad.
А над військом племени Ґадових синів — Ел'ясаф, син Деуїлів.
Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy objects; and the tabernacle was set up before their arrival.
І рушили сини Кегатові, носії́ святині, та й поставили скинію до прихо́ду їх, усіх інших.
Next the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim, according to their armies, was set out, with Elishama the son of Ammihud over its army,
І рушив пра́пор табо́ру синів Єфремових за своїми військо́вими відділами, а над військом його — Елішама, син Аммігудів.
and Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur over the tribal army of the sons of Manasseh;
А над військом племени синів Манасіїних — Гамаліїл, син Педацурів.
and Abidan the son of Gideoni over the tribal army of the sons of Benjamin.
А над військом племени Веніяминових синів — Авідан, син Ґідеонів.
Then the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan, according to their armies, which formed the rear guard for all the camps, set out, with Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai over its army,
І рушив пра́пор табо́ру синів Данових — як задня сторожа для всіх табо́рів — за своїми військо́вими відділами, а над військом його — Ахіезер, син Аммішаддаїв.
and Pagiel the son of Ochran over the tribal army of the sons of Asher;
А над військом племени Асирових синів — Паґ'іїл, син Охрана.
and Ahira the son of Enan over the tribal army of the sons of Naphtali.
А над військом племени синів Нефталимових — Ахіра, син Енанів.
This was the order of march of the sons of Israel by their armies as they set out.
Оце похо́ди Ізраїлевих синів за їхніми військо́вими відділами. І рушили вони.
Then Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are setting out to the place of which the LORD said, ‘I will give it to you’; come with us and we will do you good, for the LORD has promised good concerning Israel.”
І сказав Мойсей до Ховава, сина мідіяні́тянина Реуїла, Мойсеєвого тестя: „Ми руша́ємо до того місця, що про нього Господь був сказав: Його дам вам. Ходи ж із нами, — і ми зробимо тобі добро́, бо Господь промовляв був добро про Ізраїля“.
But he said to him, “I will not come, but rather will go to my own land and relatives.”
Та той відказав йому: „Не піду́, але піду́ до кра́ю свого та до місця своєї ба́тьківщини“.
Then he said, “Please do not leave us, inasmuch as you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you will be as eyes for us.
А Мойсей відказав: „Не покидай нас, бо через те, що ти знаєш наше таборува́ння в пустині, то будеш нам очима.
“So it will be, if you go with us, that whatever good the LORD does for us, we will do for you.”
І станеться, коли пі́деш із нами, то те добро, що Господь учинить нам, ми його вчи́нимо тобі“.
Thus they set out from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD journeying in front of them for the three days, to seek out a resting place for them.
І рушили вони від Господньої гори триденною доро́гою. А ковче́г заповіту Господнього рушав перед ними триденною дорогою, щоб ви́відати для них місце спини́тися.
The cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.
А хмара Господня була над ними вдень, коли вони рушали з табо́ру.
Then it came about when the ark set out that Moses said,
“Rise up, O LORD!
And let Your enemies be scattered,
And let those who hate You flee before You.”
“Rise up, O LORD!
And let Your enemies be scattered,
And let those who hate You flee before You.”
І бувало, коли ковчег вирушав, то Мойсей промовляв: „Устань же, о Господи, і хай розпоро́шаться Твої вороги́, і хай повтікають Твої ненави́сники з-перед Твойо́го лиця“.
