Zaccheus Converted
He entered Jericho and was passing through.
He entered Jericho and was passing through.

And there was a man called by the name of Zaccheus; he was a chief tax collector and he was rich.
И был там богатый человек по имени Закхей, старший над сборщиками налогов.
Zaccheus was trying to see who Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature.
Он старался увидеть, кто же Иисус, но не мог за толпой, так как был мал ростом.
So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way.
Побежав вперёд, он взобрался на сикомор, чтобы увидеть Иисуса, ибо Он собирался пройти той дорогой.
When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”
Когда Иисус пришёл на то место, Он взглянул наверх, и, увидев Закхея, сказал: "Закхей, поскорее спускайся вниз, ибо Я должен остановиться сегодня в твоём доме".
And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly.
Тот поспешил спуститься и с радостью оказал Ему гостеприимство.
When they saw it, they all began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”
И все, видя это, стали роптать, говоря: "Он остановился у грешника".
Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much.”
Но Закхей встал и сказал Господу: "Господи! Половину состояния своего я отдам бедным, и если я обманул кого в деньгах, то заплачу вчетверо больше!"
And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham.
Иисус сказал ему: "Сегодня спасение пришло в этот дом, ибо и этот человек истинный сын Авраама.
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Сын Человеческий пришёл искать и спасти погибающих".
Parable of Money Usage
While they were listening to these things, Jesus went on to tell a parable, because He was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately.
Иисус подходил ближе и ближе к Иерусалиму, и некоторые думали, что скоро уже настанет Царство Божье.
So He said, “A nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return.

“And he called ten of his slaves, and gave them ten minas and said to them, ‘Do business with this until I come back.’

“But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us.’
Но подданные ненавидели его и послали вслед за ним гонцов, чтобы сказать в той далёкой стране: "Мы не хотим, чтобы этот человек правил нами!"
“When he returned, after receiving the kingdom, he ordered that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be called to him so that he might know what business they had done.
Но он стал правителем той страны, возвратился домой и послал за слугами, которым дал деньги, чтобы узнать, какую прибыль они получили.
“The first appeared, saying, ‘Master, your mina has made ten minas more.’
Первый пришёл и сказал: "Господин, монета, которую ты дал мне, принесла ещё десять золотых монет".
“And he said to him, ‘Well done, good slave, because you have been faithful in a very little thing, you are to be in authority over ten cities.’
И сказал он ему: "Хорошо, добрый слуга. Ты был верен в малом, за это у тебя во власти будут десять городов".
“The second came, saying, ‘Your mina, master, has made five minas.’
Потом пришёл второй слуга и сказал: "Господин, золотая монета, которую ты дал мне, принесла ещё пять монет". И царь сказал этому слуге:
“And he said to him also, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’
"И ты будешь управлять пятью городами".
“Another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept put away in a handkerchief;
Тогда третий слуга пришёл и сказал: "Господин, вот твоя монета, которую я завернул в платок и спрятал.
for I was afraid of you, because you are an exacting man; you take up what you did not lay down and reap what you did not sow.’
Я боялся тебя, ибо ты могущественный и жёсткий человек: берёшь, чего не клал, и жнёшь, чего не сеял".
“He said to him, ‘By your own words I will judge you, you worthless slave. Did you know that I am an exacting man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?
И хозяин сказал слуге: "Я буду судить тебя твоими же словами, негодный слуга! Ты знал, что я человек жёсткий, берущий, чего не клал, и жнущий, чего не сеял?
‘Then why did you not put my money in the bank, and having come, I would have collected it with interest?’
Почему же ты не пустил мои деньги в оборот? Тогда я, вернувшись, получил бы их с прибылью".
“Then he said to the bystanders, ‘Take the mina away from him and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’
А стоящим рядом сказал: "Заберите золотую монету у него и отдайте заработавшему десять монет".
“And they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas already.’
И они сказали ему: "Господин, у него уже есть десять монет".
“I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.
"Говорю вам, — ответил царь, — всякому имущему ещё больше дано будет, а у неимущего взято будет и то, что он имеет.
“But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence.”
Врагов же моих, которые не хотели, чтобы я царствовал над ними, приведите сюда и убейте передо мною".
Triumphal Entry
After He had said these things, He was going on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
Сказав это, Иисус пошёл далее, в Иерусалим.
When He approached Bethphage and Bethany, near the mount that is called Olivet, He sent two of the disciples,
Подходя к Виффагии и Вифании, у горы, называемой Елеонской, Он послал вперёд двух Своих учеников, сказав:
saying, “Go into the village ahead of you; there, as you enter, you will find a colt tied on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here.
"Идите в селение, что перед вами. Когда войдёте, увидите привязанного необъезженного ослёнка. Отвяжите его и приведите сюда.
“If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of it.’”
А если кто-нибудь спросит вас: "Зачем забираете ослёнка?", скажете: "Он нужен Господу".
So those who were sent went away and found it just as He had told them.
И отправились посланные и нашли всё так, как Он сказал им.
As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
Когда они отвязывали ослёнка, хозяева спросили их: "Зачем вы отвязываете ослёнка?"
They brought it to Jesus, and they threw their coats on the colt and put Jesus on it.
Они привели ослёнка к Иисусу, набросили свои одежды на спину животного и усадили на него Иисуса.
As He was going, they were spreading their coats on the road.
И когда Он ехал к Иерусалиму, люди расстилали на Его пути одежды.
As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,
Видя Его приближение, множество учеников собралось у подножия горы Елеонской, и все они стали радостно восхвалять Господа громкими голосами за все чудеса, которые видели,
shouting:
“BLESSED IS THE KING WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD;
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”
И некоторые из фарисеев, бывших в толпе, стали говорить Иисусу: "Учитель, укори учеников Своих!"
But Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!”
А Он ответил: "Я говорю вам, если они умолкнут, камни закричат!"
When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it,
Когда Он подошёл и увидел город, то заплакал о нём
saying, “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.
и сказал: "Хотел бы Я, чтобы ты знал сегодня, что принесёт тебе мир! Но теперь это скрыто от глаз твоих.
“For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side,
Придут дни, когда враги твои возведут вокруг тебя укрепления и окружат тебя со всех сторон.
and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
Они сравняют тебя с землёй, тебя и всех людей в твоих стенах. Камня на камне не оставят от тебя, ибо ты не узнал времени, когда Бог пришёл, чтобы спасти тебя".
Traders Driven from the Temple
Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling,
Войдя во двор храма, Иисус стал выгонять торгующих там,
saying to them, “It is written, ‘AND MY HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER,’ but you have made it a ROBBERS’ DEN.”
говоря им: "Написано: "Мой дом будет домом молитвенным". Но вы превратили его в разбойничье логово!"
And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him,
И учил Он каждый день в храме, а первосвященники, законники и предводители народа искали, как им убить Его.
