Jesus before Pilate
Then the whole body of them got up and brought Him before Pilate.

And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, and saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.”
и стали обвинять, говоря: "Мы нашли, что Он сеет смятение в умах людей: Он против того, чтобы платить налоги кесарю, и называет Себя Христом, Царём".
So Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And He answered him and said, “It is as you say.”
Тогда Пилат спросил Его: "Ты — Царь Иудейский?" Он ответил: "Ты говоришь".
Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no guilt in this man.”
Тогда Пилат сказал первосвященникам и толпе: "Я не нахожу причин для обвинений против Этого Человека".
But they kept on insisting, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching all over Judea, starting from Galilee even as far as this place.”
Но они настаивали: "Своим учением Он возмущает народ по всей Иудее. Он начал в Галилее, а теперь пришёл и сюда".
When Pilate heard it, he asked whether the man was a Galilean.
Услышав это, Пилат спросил, не галилеянин ли Он.
And when he learned that He belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself also was in Jerusalem at that time.
Узнав, что Он подвластен Ироду, он отправил Его к Ироду, который в те дни тоже был в Иерусалиме.
Jesus before Herod
Now Herod was very glad when he saw Jesus; for he had wanted to see Him for a long time, because he had been hearing about Him and was hoping to see some sign performed by Him.
Ирод очень обрадовался, увидев Иисуса, потому что давно уже хотел видеть Его, ибо слышал о Нём и надеялся увидеть какое-нибудь знамение, сотворённое Им.
And he questioned Him at some length; but He answered him nothing.
Он задавал Ему много вопросов, но Иисус не отвечал ему.
And the chief priests and the scribes were standing there, accusing Him vehemently.
И стояли там первосвященники и законники, выкрикивая обвинения против Него.
And Herod with his soldiers, after treating Him with contempt and mocking Him, dressed Him in a gorgeous robe and sent Him back to Pilate.
Ирод же со своими солдатами высмеивал Его и издевался над Ним. И, одев Его в царское одеяние, отправил назад к Пилату.
Now Herod and Pilate became friends with one another that very day; for before they had been enemies with each other.
В тот день Ирод и Пилат стали друзьями, а до этого враждовали.
Pilate Seeks Jesus’ Release
Pilate summoned the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
И созвал тогда Пилат первосвященников, предводителей и весь народ,
and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one who incites the people to rebellion, and behold, having examined Him before you, I have found no guilt in this man regarding the charges which you make against Him.
и сказал им: "Вы привели этого человека, как сеющего смятение в умах людей, а я, проведя расследование перед вами, не нашёл никаких оснований для ваших обвинений.
“No, nor has Herod, for he sent Him back to us; and behold, nothing deserving death has been done by Him.
И Ирод тоже не нашёл, так как отправил Его обратно к нам. Как видите, Он не совершил ничего такого, за что Его следует предать смерти.
[Now he was obliged to release to them at the feast one prisoner.]
Каждый год на праздник Пасхи правитель имел обычай освобождать одного из заключенных по желанию народа.
But they cried out all together, saying, “Away with this man, and release for us Barabbas!”
Но все в один голос закричали: "Смерть Ему! Отпусти нам Варавву!"
(He was one who had been thrown into prison for an insurrection made in the city, and for murder.)
Варавва был заключён в темницу за мятеж в городе и убийство.
Pilate, wanting to release Jesus, addressed them again,
И снова Пилат обратился к ним, так как хотел отпустить Иисуса,
but they kept on calling out, saying, “Crucify, crucify Him!”
но они продолжали кричать: "Убей Его! Распни Его!"
And he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has this man done? I have found in Him no guilt demanding death; therefore I will punish Him and release Him.”
В третий раз Пилат обратился к ним: "Какое преступление совершил этот человек? Я не нашёл Его виновным ни в чём, заслуживающем смерти. Поэтому я отпущу Его, наказав".
But they were insistent, with loud voices asking that He be crucified. And their voices began to prevail.
Но они продолжали кричать и требовали, чтобы Его распяли. И их крик так усилился,
And Pilate pronounced sentence that their demand be granted.
что Пилат решил исполнить их требование.
And he released the man they were asking for who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, but he delivered Jesus to their will.
Он освободил Варавву, за которого они просили, сидевшего в темнице за мятеж и убийство, а Иисуса передал им, чтобы убить, как они того хотели.
Simon Bears the Cross
When they led Him away, they seized a man, Simon of Cyrene, coming in from the country, and placed on him the cross to carry behind Jesus.
Когда стражники повели Его, они увидели Симона Киринеянина, который возвращался в город с поля, взвалили на него крест и заставили Симона нести его вслед за Иисусом.
And following Him was a large crowd of the people, and of women who were mourning and lamenting Him.
Большая толпа народа следовала за Ним, и женщины, скорбевшие и причитавшие о Нём.
But Jesus turning to them said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
Но, обернувшись, Иисус сказал им: "Дочери иерусалимские, не плачьте обо Мне. Оплакивайте себя и детей своих,
“For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’
ибо приближается время, когда люди скажут: "Блаженны бесплодные и никогда не рожавшие, и никогда не вскармливавшие грудью!"
“Then they will begin TO SAY TO THE MOUNTAINS, ‘FALL ON US,’ AND TO THE HILLS, ‘COVER US.’
И скажут они горам: "Обрушьтесь на нас! А холмам: Покройте нас!"
“For if they do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
Ибо, если люди делают такое в хорошие времена, что же будет, когда настанут времена трудные?"
Two others also, who were criminals, were being led away to be put to death with Him.
И было там также двое преступников, которых повели на казнь вместе с Иисусом.
The Crucifixion
When they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.
И когда пришли на место, называемое Лобным, то там и распяли Его и преступников, одного справа от Него, а другого слева.
But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.
Иисус же говорил: "Отец, прости им, ибо они не ведают, что творят", а они бросали жребий, деля между собой Его одежду.
And the people stood by, looking on. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One.”
Народ стоял и смотрел, а их предводители глумились над Иисусом, говоря: "Он спасал других; пусть спасёт и Себя, если Он Христос, Божий Избранник!"
The soldiers also mocked Him, coming up to Him, offering Him sour wine,
Воины тоже подошли и насмехались над Иисусом, и предлагали Ему уксус.
and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself!”
"Если Ты Царь Иудейский, — сказали они, — спаси Себя Самого!"
Now there was also an inscription above Him, “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
Над Его головой было написано: "Царь Иудейский".
One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!”
Один из распятых с Ним преступников оскорблял Его: "Разве Ты не Христос? — говорил он. — Спаси Себя, да и нас заодно!"
But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
Но другой остановил его, сказав: "Побойся Бога. Мы все трое скоро умрём.
“And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”
Мы-то с тобой виновны, и нас следует убить за то зло, что мы совершили. Этот же Человек ничего плохого не сделал".
And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!”
И добавил: "Иисус, вспомни обо мне, когда придёшь в Царство Твоё".
And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”
И ответил Иисус: "Истинно говорю тебе: сегодня же будешь со Мной в раю".
It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour,
Было около полудня, но тьма покрывала всю землю до трёх часов пополудни,
because the sun was obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two.
и солнце не светило, и завеса храма разорвалась надвое.
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.” Having said this, He breathed His last.
И громким голосом воскликнул Иисус: "Отец, в Твои руки передаю дух Мой!" И с этими словами испустил дух.
Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he began praising God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent.”
Увидев это, сотник восхвалил Бога и сказал: "Несомненно, этот человек был праведник".
And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, when they observed what had happened, began to return, beating their breasts.
И когда все люди, собравшиеся там, увидели, что произошло, они разошлись по домам, бия себя в грудь.
And all His acquaintances and the women who accompanied Him from Galilee were standing at a distance, seeing these things.
Все же, знавшие Его, и женщины, следовавшие за Ним из Галилеи, стояли вдали и смотрели на это.
Jesus Is Buried
And a man named Joseph, who was a member of the Council, a good and righteous man
И был там один человек по имени Иосиф, из иудейского города Аримафеи, член иудейского совета, человек хороший и праведный, дожидавшийся Царства Божьего.
(he had not consented to their plan and action), a man from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who was waiting for the kingdom of God;
Он не был согласен с иудейскими предводителями, когда они решили убить Иисуса.
this man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
Этот человек пошёл к Пилату и попросил отдать ему Тело Иисуса.
And he took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever lain.
Сняв Его с креста, он обернул Тело полотном и положил в новую гробницу, высеченную в скале.
It was the preparation day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.
Была пятница и приближалась суббота.
Now the women who had come with Him out of Galilee followed, and saw the tomb and how His body was laid.
Пойдя следом, женщины, пришедшие с Иисусом из Галилеи, увидели гробницу и как положено было туда Тело Его.
