“No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of the LORD; none of their descendants, even to the tenth generation, shall ever enter the assembly of the LORD,
Аммонитянин или моавитянин не может присоединиться к израильскому народу в поклонении Господу, и никто из их потомков, до десятого поколения, не может войти в это общество!
because they did not meet you with food and water on the way when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.
Ибо аммонитяне и моавитяне отказали тебе в хлебе и воде, когда вы шли из Египта, и пытались нанять Валаама, сына Веора из Пефора Месопотамского, чтобы он проклял тебя.
“Nevertheless, the LORD your God was not willing to listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the LORD your God loves you.
Но Господь, Бог твой, не стал слушать Валаама и обратил его проклятие в благословение тебе, ибо Господь, Бог твой, любит тебя.
“You shall never seek their peace or their prosperity all your days.

“You shall not detest an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not detest an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land.
"Не относись с ненавистью к идумеянину, ибо он твой брат. Не относись с ненавистью к египтянину, ибо был пришельцем в земле его.
“The sons of the third generation who are born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD.
Потомки идумеянина и египтянина в третьем поколении могут присоединиться к израильскому народу в поклонении Господу".
“When you go out as an army against your enemies, you shall keep yourself from every evil thing.
"Когда твоя армия идёт в бой с врагами, остерегайся всего, что может сделать тебя нечистым.
“If there is among you any man who is unclean because of a nocturnal emission, then he must go outside the camp; he may not reenter the camp.
Если кто-то нечист из-за того, что во сне имел оргазм, то пусть уйдёт из стана и держится в стороне.
“But it shall be when evening approaches, he shall bathe himself with water, and at sundown he may reenter the camp.
Когда же наступит вечер, пусть омоется водою и после захода солнца может возвратиться в стан.
“You shall also have a place outside the camp and go out there,
Пусть у тебя будет место за пределами стана, куда ты можешь пойти за нуждой.
and you shall have a spade among your tools, and it shall be when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and shall turn to cover up your excrement.
Вместе с оружием носи при себе палку, чтобы, когда тебе придётся справить нужду, ты мог выкопать яму и закопать свои испражнения,
“Since the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to defeat your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy; and He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you.
ибо Господь, Бог твой, с тобой в твоём стане, чтобы спасти тебя и помочь победить твоих врагов, и потому стан твой должен быть свят, чтобы Господь не увидел никакой мерзости и не покинул тебя".
“You shall not hand over to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you.
"Если к тебе сбежал раб другого господина, то не возвращай раба господину его.
“He shall live with you in your midst, in the place which he shall choose in one of your towns where it pleases him; you shall not mistreat him.
Пусть раб этот живёт с тобой, где пожелает, в каком захочет городе, ты же не притесняй его.
“None of the daughters of Israel shall be a cult prostitute, nor shall any of the sons of Israel be a cult prostitute.
Пусть ни израильтянки, ни израильтяне не предаются блуду ради исполнения религиозных обрядов.
“You shall not bring the hire of a harlot or the wages of a dog into the house of the LORD your God for any votive offering, for both of these are an abomination to the LORD your God.
Пусть не приносят в святой дом Господа, Бога твоего, деньги, заработанные блудником или блудницей; не покупай на эти деньги обещанное Богу, ибо Господу, Богу твоему, ненавистны продающие своё тело и совершающие половой грех.
“You shall not charge interest to your countrymen: interest on money, food, or anything that may be loaned at interest.
Если даёшь в долг израильтянину, не бери с него проценты ни с денег, ни с продуктов, ни с чего другого, что может приносить проценты.
“You may charge interest to a foreigner, but to your countrymen you shall not charge interest, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are about to enter to possess.
Можешь брать проценты с иноземца, но не бери их с израильтянина. Если будешь исполнять этот закон, то Господь, Бог твой, благословит тебя во всём, что ты делаешь на земле, на которой живёшь.
“When you make a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the LORD your God will surely require it of you.
Когда даёшь обет Господу, Богу твоему, не медли с оплатой обещанного, ибо Господь, Бог твой, потребует, чтобы ты заплатил, и ты согрешишь, если не заплатишь обещанного.
“However, if you refrain from vowing, it would not be sin in you.
Если ты не дашь обет, то не согрешишь,
“You shall be careful to perform what goes out from your lips, just as you have voluntarily vowed to the LORD your God, what you have promised.
но если сказал, что сделаешь что-то, исполни обещанное. Если ты даёшь Господу обет, то сам решаешь это, а не по принуждению Господнему, и потому должен исполнить обещанное!
“When you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat grapes until you are fully satisfied, but you shall not put any in your basket.
Если проходишь по чужому винограднику, можешь съесть сколько хочешь винограда, но не клади виноград в корзину.
“When you enter your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the heads with your hand, but you shall not wield a sickle in your neighbor’s standing grain.
Если проходишь по чужому хлебному полю, можешь съесть столько зерна, сколько сумеешь набрать в руки, но не бери серп, чтобы скосить чужое зерно и унести с собой.
