Wearing sackcloth around their waists and ropes around their heads, they went to the king of Israel and said, “Your servant Ben-Hadad says: ‘Please let me live.’ ”
The king answered, “Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Benhadad saith, I pray thee, let me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? he is my brother.

So they wore sackcloth around their waists and put ropes around their heads, and came to the king of Israel and said, “Your servant Ben-Hadad says, ‘Please let me live.’ ”
And he said, “Is he still alive? He is my brother.” -

И опоясали они вретищами чресла свои и возложили верёвки на головы свои, и пришли к царю Израильскому и сказали: раб твой Венадад говорит: «пощади жизнь мою». Тот сказал: разве он жив? он брат мой.

Підперезались вони вереттям і з мотузками на головах пішли до царя ізраїльського та й сказали: «Слуга твій Бен-Гадад звелів сказати: зостав мене живим!» Той же спитав: «То він ще жив? Він — брат мій!»

От і попідперізувались вереттєм, а на голови взяли повороззя, й подались до царя Ізраїлського та й промовили: Твій слуга Бенадад звелїв тобі сказати: Зостав мене з душею! Відказує той: А він ще жив? Він мій брат. -
І підпереза́ли вони вере́тищами сте́гна свої, а шнури — на свої голови, і прийшли до Ізраїлевого царя та й сказали: „Твій раб Бен-Гадад сказав: Нехай живе душа моя!“ А той відказав: „Чи він іще живий? Він мій брат!“

И одетые в рубище, с веревками на головах они пришли к царю Израиля и сказали:
— Твой слуга Венадад говорит: «Прошу тебя, оставь мне жизнь».
Царь ответил:
— Разве он еще жив? Он брат мой. -
