“A man came to meet us,” they replied. “And he said to us, ‘Go back to the king who sent you and tell him, “This is what the Lord says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!” ’ ”

And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

So they said to him, “A man came up to meet us, and said to us, ‘Go, return to the king who sent you, and say to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’ ” ’ ”

They replied, “A man came up to us and told us to go back to the king and give him this message. ‘This is what the LORD says: Is there no God in Israel? Why are you sending men to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether you will recover? Therefore, because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on; you will surely die.’”

И сказали ему: навстречу нам вышел человек и сказал нам: пойдите, возвратитесь к царю, который послал вас, и скажите ему: так говорит Господь: разве нет Бога в Израиле, что ты посылаешь вопрошать Веельзевула, божество Аккаронское? За то с постели, на которую ты лёг, не сойдёшь с неё, но умрёшь.

Вони ж йому: “Вийшов назустріч нам чоловік і сказав нам: Ідіть, повернітесь до царя, що вас послав, і скажіть йому: Так говорить Господь: Хіба в Ізраїлі нема Бога, що ти посилаєш питати Ваал-Зевува, екронського бога? За це ти не встанеш з ліжка, на яке ліг; ти мусиш умерти.”

А вони відказали йому: „Назу́стріч нам вийшов один чоловік, і сказав нам: Ідіть, верніться до царя, що послав вас, і скажіть йому: Так сказав Господь: Чи через те, що нема в Ізраїлі Бога, ти посилаєш ви́відати Ваал-Зевува, екронського бога? Тому́ те ло́же, що на нього ти ліг, — не встанеш із нього, бо напевно помреш“...

— Нам навстречу вышел некий человек, — ответили они. — Он сказал нам: «Возвращайтесь к царю, который вас послал, и скажите ему: „Так говорит Господь: Разве в Израиле нет Бога, что ты посылаешь людей спрашивать Баал-Зевува, бога Экрона? Итак, ты не встанешь с постели, на которую лег. Ты непременно умрешь!“»

Ті ж відповіли йому: Чоловік вийшов нам назустріч і сказав нам: Ідіть, поверніться до царя, який вислав вас, і скажете йому: Так говорить Господь: Ти йдеш запитатися у Ваала-мухи, бога Аккарона тому, що немає Бога в Ізраїлі? Не буде так! Ліжко, на яке ти зліг, з нього не зійдеш, бо безсумнівно помреш [2]!
