If we say, ‘We’ll go into the city’ — the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let’s go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.”

If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

Если решиться нам пойти в город, то в городе голод, и мы там умрём; если же сидеть здесь, то также умрём. Пойдём лучше в стан Сирийский. Если оставят нас в живых, будем жить, а если умертвят, умрём.

Коли поважимось увійти в город, байдуже, город опанувала голоднеча, й ми там помремо; зістанемося ж тут, мусимо й тутеньки померти. Тож ходїмо в Сирийський табір. Зіставлять нас в живих, так жити мемо; а повбивають, ну, то й помремо. -
Якщо ми скажемо: Увійді́мо до міста, а в місті голод, то помремо́ там; а якщо сиді́тимемо тут, то теж помремо́. Отож, ходіть, і перейді́мо до сирійського табо́ру, — якщо там позоставлять нас при житті, бу́демо жити, а якщо заб'ють нас, то помремо́“.

Если мы решим: «Пойдем в город», то там голод, и мы умрем. И если мы останемся здесь, то все равно умрем. Давайте же пойдем в лагерь к арамеям и сдадимся. Если они пощадят нас, останемся в живых, а если нет, то умрем.

Якщо скажемо: Увійдемо в місто, то в місті голод, і там помремо. Якщо тут сидітимемо, то також помремо. Тож тепер ходімо і попадемо до сирійського табору, може залишать нас живими, і житимемо. А якщо вб’ють нас, то помремо.
