New International Version
Now since we are under obligation to the palace and it is not proper for us to see the king dishonored, we are sending this message to inform the king,
-
Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;

Now because we receive support from the palace, it was not proper for us to see the king’s dishonor; therefore we have sent and informed the king,

Now, since we eat the salt of the palace, and it is not right for us to see the king's injury, therefore have we sent and informed the king; -
Так как мы едим соль от дворца царского, и ущерб для царя не можем видеть, поэтому мы посылаем донесение к царю:

А що ми їмо сіль із царського палацу й не можемо дивитись на зневагу супроти царя, послали ми, щоб повідомити царя.

І ото, беручи́ на увагу, що сільцарського пала́цу — сіль наша, а царськи́й сором не випадає нам бачити, тому ми посилаємо й завідомля́ємо царя,

Так как мы в долгу перед дворцом23 и не можем смотреть, как царю наносится бесчестие, мы и посылаем известить царя,

Нам же не годиться бачити засоромлення царя. Тому ми відіслали листа і об’явили цареві,
